”We recently attended a nearby wedding and stayed at The Five Bells, an amazing family-run pub and B&B. The family room was spacious, spotless, and well-equipped, with complimentary toiletries that were especially appreciated as we’d forgotten ours at home. Mary and her daughters were incredibly warm and welcoming, making our stay even more enjoyable. We would highly recommend this lovely place.”

”Very clean room with plenty of tea making facilities and lots of hot water, fluffy towels and a comfortable bed. Helpful full length mirror in bedroom. Some of the communal areas look a bit tired, but staff welcoming and room was great for my needs (staying overnight in area ready for family get together). Great location for Hythe and walk along seafront short drive away.”

”The family room was lovely and well equipped for 2 adults and 2 children. A couple of niggles in that the blind was broken in the bathroom and the rubbish bins were a bit on the small side. Staff were really lovely and nothing was any trouble. Breakfast was delicious and we had 1 meal there which was great. Lovely setting next to the river. Would highly recommend”

”Excellent overnight stay prior to getting the Channel Tunnel to France for a holiday. Great location, lovely English pub, good food, great accommodation and lovely staff. Second stay here but will definitely book again if we are going to Europe in the future.”

”Hotel was very clean,staff very helpful. Breakfast was ok but the quality of cooked food could have been better. We went for a wedding which was lovely. We didn't use the spa or pool as only there for one night. It was the hottest day of the year and in the parts that were air conditioned it was ok but the actual wedding was outside in the garden and there was no shade for the quests we were all melting and got sun burnt so would advise if its the reason for your visit take hats or umbrella. ”Parked right outside entrance in semi private parking, very easy registration, room spacious,clean, blackout curtains, and bathroom with wonderful big tub!!! Great Bombay Saturday dinner selection - what a lovely extra surprise. Lovely, attentive and efficient staff, every one, from chefs to reception. Peaceful landscaped grounds for refreshing wander after long drive. Superb value breakfast. Highly recommend.”

”It’s a very old and unique building, the main hotel has been updated to an excellent standard, Going to the breakfast room on the -1 level, you can see photos of the area and the entrance to the breakfast room tunnels under the main load and. Has a sea front terrace on the floor and the floor above. The young staff in the complex were helpful and smart”

”Getting to the first Floor was not easy with a large luggage since the staircase is so narrow. No indication that There was no elevators. Room too noisy at night with fast car traffic passing by. the Windows had to ne openned beause of the hot weather. Not a good night sleep.”

”Historic character inn with rooms right in the centre of town. Parking is available in nearby municipal pay and display car parks - but do check with the hotel beforehand for details of which to park in as the closest is a short stay with a maximum stay of only 4 hours. There is a separate long stay car park within walking distance. Bedrooms have been stylishly brought up to twenty first century standards. Excellent breakfast. Highly recommended.”
