”The only issue we had was there was no one to check us in, The contact numbers we had no one answered. We actually felt like we were trespassing. After driving around for an hour someone finally returned our call & messages and arranged to meet us. We had almost given up & were going to go home. Having said that we ended up having a really enjoyable stay :)”

”Great location. Ideal location for Southwell racecourse. 15 minute leisurely stroll to the racecourse from the accommodation. Our overnight stay was great from start to finish - easy check in, free car parking, clean tidy and comfortable room. Bathroom, including shower, was clean and modern. The sink was on the small side. Good value for money.”

”We were very well looked after by Shaan & Sef who must be the one prepared our breakfast which was freshly made and ample every morning . The room was clean and spacious enough for us & our dog Rocky. Tumbleweed is a good place to stay for a few days to visit the local attractions, such as Sherwood Forest, nearby. It is a heaven for dog owners and joggers. I jogged with my dog along the Well Lane & The Avenue every morning and walked my dog on the couple of bridal ways nearby in the evening....

”The greatest feature of this establishment are the hosts, Pablo and John. Apart from a great location, ten minutes walk from the town centre, the house is impeccable. The garden is a delight, and nothing, absolutely nothing, is too much trouble for the hosts, to ensure that you leave very reluctantly……”

”Reception not manned on arrival, did not realise that door card and check in card was left on table for self service. Basic hotel with English Breakfast /Toast/Yoghurt included in the price. Large car park. Ideal location to attend a party in Mansfield. Not planned to use the restaurant but believe it was closed during our stay. Bar also looked closed but think we were told it was available if required. I would stay again if I needed to stay overnight in the area.”

I phoned to say that I would be late for final check in (10pm) and Alexandra, the lovely lady on the front desk, made sure I was checked in dignity and made me feel so safe about arriving late. This was my second time visiting The Swan for work trips to Blyton Park track. Couldn’t recommend this B&B enough. Perfect for solo female travellers.”
