My children and I had a nice stay in the house. It’s a good price for the amount of space and proximity to the beach. It was nice that there were ample cleaning supplies available in the kitchen, as well as ample pots and pans to cook with. The beach carts and beach chairs were also appreciated. The bathrooms were clean. Amelia promptly responded to any questions I had.
However, I would only recommend staying here if you are comfortable with a lower level of cleanliness. Unfortunately since I was traveling as a single mom with kids, it did not occur to me to take pictures of the bugs on the kitchen counter, stains on the bedroom quilt, dirty insides of the coffee maker, and filthy potholder and kitchen mat. I spilled a little water on the kitchen mat and dabbed it up with a paper towel, and the paper towel came up yellow. Ew. (It was not ink or dye, the mat has no yellow in it.) I do not mind that it is an old home, but some things could be done to make it feel more hygienic and clean.
