”Quaint bnb, run by Mark who is a superb host. Lovely breakfast and the view from our room was stunning. Large bedroom with even larger bathroom. Ideal for exploring Bamburgh”

”Staff were brilliant I have had breakfast before and fantastic plenty to eat Bar. And outside area great lots of room Sad to say it all needs updating up stairs. All bathrooms need updating and decor and carpets need gone. Definitely the WiFi needs sorting out so you can get on it when you are in your room I wanted to chill out and watch Netflix but no internet Apart from that always a lovely stay and they accept dogs which is fab”

”Pub was dated, and our room had a shower/toilet in a pod, so read the small print when booking. The pod was extremely small with little room to manoeuvre and the extractor fan did not work. Also music could be heard in our room from downstairs. The positive is the shower was warm, the staff extremely friendly and the breakfast good. Also the local clientele were warm, friendly and welcoming”

”This is a little gem of an inn. The drive along the way is picturesque and Otterburn itself is darling. Our host for the Old Post Office was very accommodating. We arrived after the normal check-in time and she was very welcoming. Our room was immaculate and our shower had lots of hot water. Breakfast was excellent, including our coffees (flat white and vanilla latte). We also enjoyed the back patio area with plenty of seating. Definitely recommend this inn!”

”The location of the hotel, the standard room we were given were just right for us. We particularly liked the ceiling fan which provided much needed cooling. So much better eco friendly than air-conditioning. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming or friendly and the food was excellently cooked with plenty to choose from. Go hungry to do the food justice. Drinks and food prices offer good value. Nothing seemed too much trouble and we'd heartily recommend a stay there to anyone.”

”Lovely stay, room immaculate, staff friendly and attentive on arrival (thank you Susan!) Bar/pub welcoming, nice friendly atmosphere. Could not fault food, was tasty, fresh and good portion sizes. Breakfast was served in lovely communal area where we could help ourselves to drinks. Overall great overnight stay. Thank you ☺️ ”

”A lovely light and airy room with a wonderful view. Comfortable bed and plenty of clean towels. Staff were most welcoming and very helpful. Wonderful selection of goodies for breakfast. Fresh fruit every morning alongside a cooked breakfast and timings for breakfast most accommodating.”

”The property was close to Bamburgh Castle and Farne Islands that is great in summer for Puffins. We were given the smallest double bed room even though we booked a proper queen room that were available.”

”Beautiful stay. Room was amazing. Super clean. Little added touches such as a birthday card and chocolates. Breakfast was lovely and the whole grounds is stunning.”

”Peter and Sheila were wonderful hosts. They gave us ideas of where to eat and places to see. Breakfast was very good and enjoyable with them providing information about the area. If we return to the Northumberland area we will definitely return there to stay again.”

”The meals were excellent both for quality and price, staff very helpful. The bed was comfortable however the windows did not close entirely. It was quite warm so not a major problem for us but the windows needed refurbishment so they be opened or closed easily. The electric shower was very weak. These issues were relatively minor given the pluses of staff, food and comfortable beds”

”Bloody Marvellous From the lovely warm welcome when we arrived to the fantastic breakfast just before we left everything was perfect. The room was lovely but what really made the difference was the wonderful team. The chefs should be made a saints as they worked miracles. See you all again”

”Lovely, friendly staff. We had 2 dogs with us and they were welcomed very nicely. The food in the restaurant was very average, although breakfast was excellent. We had a king sized room, which was in my opinion very small. The room was very hot, a fan or air conditioning would be something to consider? The bed was comfortable. Having 2 reasonably large dogs, negotiating the upper floor was relatively difficult.”
