”The property is beautiful - quiet, relaxing and great food. The staff are just so welcoming, friendly and attentive. The only thing that has marred our stay is the inaccurate information provided by QANTAS in this deal for travel to and from Vanuatu. This false advertising has caused a lot of stress, as we were meant to fly direct from Sydney as advertised but instead were diverted and left stranded in Auckland for three days due to last minute flight cancellation then had flights to get us...

”We had a great experience in Vila Chaumieres, which felt like a home away from home. Our flight was cancelled and they were extremely flexible with everything. The room was spacious and clean and the breakfast with a view to the lagoon was lovely experience. What is more, they spent significant amount of time and effort to help us arrange our transportation to Tanna after we missed our connecting flight. Would highly recommend this place!”

”I loved Breakas Beach Resort! It's not a high-end, super-glitzy kind of place, but a very lovely, relaxed, simple place to stay where they still take care of your every need. The individual cottages, built of local rock, roofed with palm leaves, and scattered through the beautiful forest, are simple yet elegant. The food and drinks are excellent (watermelon daiquiris, yum!), and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Activities and tours are available every day, plus lots of assistance...

Not worth it
"The hotel has definitely seen better days, everything was coming undone. The whole place could use a coat of paint... The bathroom door wouldn't close as it was falling apart. There were a ton of cockroaches running around (probably a common problem around the island but anyhow, annoying). The pool had no lounge chairs so bring a pool float or something unless you enjoy sunbathing on the hard ground. Wifi basically only worked in the lobby. The room was a good size and the little balcony was a nice addition, but I would not stay there again especially for the price we paid."
