”In general, this place is decent. It's located inside the park, about 30 minutes away from the Valley. It is pretty clean and provides most of things needed for a couple of nights. When we needed coffee and more kitchen towel, I texted the staff and she dropped them off quickly. It's a bit pricey but I guess most properties inside the park during the summer over the weekend are probably similar. ”

”I was a little worried after seeing some negative reviews, but we were pleasantly surprised! This cabin had everything we needed and the whole process was very smooth and easy. I think 4 people would be very tight, but it worked perfectly for the two of us. We cooked both nights and even though the appliances are older everything worked great. Being inside the park was nice too so we didn’t have to worry about Yosemite reservations and lines getting in. Thanks for a lovely stay!”

”This is a beautiful home in a great location. The home is cozy and has everything you need, while the large deck is great for dinners and star gazing. We loved the window wall. We initially had a bit of trouble getting in touch with the property owner/manager to get answers to a couple of questions we had, but once we were put in touch they were very kind and helpful. We were disappointed to learn that the hot tub is not usable, but we enjoyed our stay regardless. ”

”The location was beautiful, and central to all parts of Yosemite that we wanted to see. The chalet was spacious, and kitchen well equiped for our meals. We had our adult kids with us, and our 15 month old grandson. The hot tub and pool table was great as well for evening fun. ”

Pluses were: it is inside the park so you don't have to wait an hour everyday to get in; in a quiet beautiful setting away from the crowds at the park; nicely priced; comfortable. ”I'd rate this cottage, in all its grandeur, a 9.3/10. It is an ideal distance from the Yosemite National Park entrance. Surrounded by a quiet, amazing community this cottage truly gives the 1900s charming vibe. Come prepared to bat off swarming bees and wasps if intending to use the grill, however, this is probably a seasonal issue (spring/winter vs summer time). Summer heat is no joke in Mariposa so take advantage of the fans and swamp cooler, nonetheless, it was a great time!”

”Our family had an incredible vacation in this property. It was spacious for our family of 4 to spread out. We were there during the heat wave so it was a little warm with only the fans, but it was doable! ”This is the closest you can stay to Yosemite National Park without staying in the park itself. Park entrance is a short drive away (around 10 - 15 mins if no queue). Rooms are large with good kitchen facilities and big bathroom. We also had a balcony overlooking the river which was lovely. There are 2 options for dining, a restaurant and a pizza place. Reviews were poor but our food was OK. We also found the laundry facilities useful (coins needed). ”
