”Welcoming, clean and quiet”

”A good looking Hotel from the outside, the food in the restaurant smelled great as you climb the steps to the door. (There is a disabled lift around the side somewhere) Self check in with help available, parking fee arranged at this point, I had missed this on the website, it was £7.50 a night, not over the top but a surprise for me. Room is a bit dated, only two sockets on the desk and no USB sockets anywhere. Comfy bed, plenty of space in the room and good shower pressure! Now the...

”When we arrived at the reception desk the person at the desk was very polite but then it went down hill some of the staff are unapproachable this is not the hotel we came to three years ago the breakfast was alright the room was basic there was no fridge.”

”Impressive building with lovely grounds; however unfortunately our room did not live up to the same standard with wine bottles & beer cans left at the door on entry, along with the odour from the previous guests takeaway. Thankfully the staff were able to accommodate a different room for our stay, but it is worth noting the rooms both shared a rather tired appearance and we left a little deflated bearing in mind the room rate.”

”The room was very comfortable, the staff friendly and the swimming pool was the perfect temperature. We didn't use the gym. The hotel is within walking distance (or a short bus ride) from Headingly Cricket Ground (which is why we were in Leeds). We were in the bar watching the football for England v Croatia in the World Cup, but the service was still fast and there was a great atmosphere too.”
