Christ Church, Emery Down, New Forest. Christ Church was consecrated in 1864 and designed by William Butterfield, who was a prestigious architect of the 19th century. Christ Church is built of polychrome Cornish brick and Bath stone. Seating about 100 people, it has a delightfully domestic atmosphere and fits perfectly into its village environment. The church was the gift of Admiral Boultbee who came to live in the parish of Minstead at the beginning of the 19th century. He became the village's principal benefactor, building a school and alms house as well as a church. Information from http://www.newforestparishes.com/
Stream, White Moor, New Forest Becomes wetter as you progress! The yellow-green patch right mid-ground is bog myrtle, which has of course gone over. One or two bell heather flowers remain; a few boletus fungi are fruiting on the grassland next to the stream.

New Forest Path, James's Hill This part of the Forest is mainly beech and holly. The beech trees have started to shed their leaves; golden leaf litter lies on the ground on a fine autumnal day.

Hyvä valinta
Hyvä sijainti. Vanha kaupunki ihan vieressä. Samoin lauttasatama, jos menossa Isle of wightille. Autoparkki ihan hotellin vieressä, maksoi 7 puntaa/vrk. Hyvä monipuolinen aamupala. Ihan kiva uima-allas ja poreallas sekä sauna.
