Hosted by Coastal Stay, welcome to Camp Haven Sandpiper Cottage, a charming two-story beachfront retreat on beautiful Little Glen Lake in the heart of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Perfect for families and groups, this inviting cottage offers comfortable living spaces, beautiful lake views, and easy access to Northern Michigan`s best outdoor adventures.

Enjoy shared access to 100 feet of sandy waterfront, complimentary shared kayaks and a paddleboat, breathtaking sunrises, and everything that makes Northern Michigan unforgettable—all while being just minutes from Glen Arbor, Empire, hiking trails, beaches, wineries, restaurants, and local shops.

🐾 Pet Policy – Pet fee is $200 per stay for up to 2 dogs (50 lbs max each). Please notify us in advance so we can prepare pet amenities. While we strive to minimize allergens, guests with sensitivities should be aware. Use provided sofa covers and designated towels for pets. Guests are responsible for any pet-related damage.

Please Note: Quiet hours begin at 10pm, and no unauthorized parties are allowed to ensure a peaceful neighborhood setting.

The cottage`s welcoming main-floor living room provides a comfortable place to gather after a day on the lake or exploring Sleeping Bear Dunes. Upstairs, a small sitting area with a game table offers a cozy space for board games, cards, or a quiet morning coffee.

Books, board games, toys, and a Smart TV provide entertainment for guests of all ages.

The fully equipped kitchen includes everything needed to prepare meals during your stay, while the adjacent dining area offers a comfortable space to gather for breakfast before heading out or dinner after a day on the lake.

The cottage features four comfortable bedrooms across two floors, 1 full bathroom, and 1 half bathroom.

Each bathroom is stocked with fresh towels and essential starter toiletries for your arrival.

The home includes parking for up to 2 vehicles in a large shared gravel parking area behind the house. Please park thoughtfully to ensure there is ample space for guests staying in the neighboring Camp Haven homes.

☆☆ OUTDOOR EXPERIENCE ☆☆
Little Glen Lake is just steps away. Guests enjoy shared access to the sandy waterfront, swimming area, kayaks, paddleboat, and plenty of space to relax by the water.

The cottage`s private outdoor space features a patio with outdoor furniture, a grill, a fire pit, and an outdoor shower perfect for rinsing off after a swim, enjoying outdoor meals, or relaxing around the fire beneath the Northern Michigan sky.

Please note the waterfront, beach, lawn, and watercraft are shared with guests staying in the neighboring Camp Haven cottages.

Little Glen Lake can occasionally experience swimmer`s itch during portions of the summer. We recommend applying waterproof sunscreen before swimming and showering with soap afterward as a precaution.

Together, the three homes offer 12 bedrooms with shared access to 100 feet of beautiful Little Glen Lake frontage, a sandy beach, complimentary kayaks and a paddleboat, and spacious shared outdoor amenities—making Camp Haven an ideal destination for family reunions, retreats, and group getaways.

Coming Spring 2027: An additional waterfront cabin of 2 bedrooms is being renovated and will join Camp Haven, expanding the retreat to four homes with a total of 14 bedrooms, 6 full bathrooms, and 3 half bathrooms.

☆☆Accidents Happen — We’ve Got You Covered☆☆
We understand that sometimes small accidents happen while traveling. That’s why your booking includes a $250 accidental damage waiver, built directly into your stay.

If something minor gets damaged during your visit, please let us know right away. We’ll take care of it so you can relax and enjoy your trip.

Please note: The waiver applies to accidental damage only and does not cover intentional damage, missing items, rule violations, or excessive mess.

- Check-in/out: Early check-ins and late check-outs are available by request, subject to availability, and may incur an additional fee.

- Longer stays: Please be aware guest stays longer than 10-days will require mid-stay cleaning. Mid-stay cleaning fees are the same amount as the fee charged during booking. A weekly cleaning and linen/towel exchange is required for long-term guest stays, short-term guest stays may request a mid-stay cleaning for an extra fee.

- Payment & Cancellations: Please check the cancellation policy on your booking platform. Please note that even if you are eligible for a full refund and a free cancellation, a credit card processing fee will be deducted. Full payment is taken upon booking.

*Please note that violation of any of these rules is considered a breach of the terms and conditions of the rental agreement. The owner reserves the right to evict any guests or visitors who refuse to follow these house rules. The violation of house rules may result in deductions from the security deposit or other penalties.

Child Safety: Parents must not leave children unsupervised and are fully responsible for their safety at all times.

Safety & Energy Saving: Please close the windows and lock the door when leaving the premises.

Report any damages and/or breakages immediately.

Cleaning and Maintenance: Smoking or burning candles are not allowed inside the home. No eating or drinking in bedrooms.

Please do not wear shoes inside the house. Please turn off any electronics when you leave the house.

Visitors & Noise: No unregistered guests or visitors allowed. The maximum property capacity is 8 people. Parties and events are strictly prohibited. Third parties are not welcome, and the place is for guests only. Quiet time after 10 p.m. Please refrain from making noises past 10 p.m. to respect our neighbors. NO FIREWORKS ALLOWED.

Pets: Dogs are permitted in the house. Please declare your pets to us ahead of checking in and settle any pet related fees. Pets fees are $200 up to two pets. Please clean up after your fur friends and use the provided retired towels to clean your dogs. Please do not let your dogs venture into the neighbor’s yards during their walks.

SHARED WATERCRAFT. There are a couple of watercraft on the property—kayaks and a paddleboat. You are welcome to use them, but please note they are shared with the other cottages at Camp Haven. Please clean up after yourself and put them away if you are using them. If you damage the watercraft, you will be asked to contribute to the replacement cost. Please also note you accept all risk and will not hold us liable for your use of the watercraft or other toys on the property.

Housekeeping: Daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We will be happy to help arrange additional cleaning during your stay for a fee. If you run out of clean linens (sheets/pillow cases) and towels etc., you are welcome to use the laundry facility to replenish them. PLEASE do not wipe any food, oils, or lotions on the linens. Please use the kitchen towels (paper or cloths) for their intended purposes.

We provide black make-up towels and cotton pads for removing makeup. If our other towels are stained or bleached during your stay, we will charge a $15 replacement fee for each towel.

Property/Home owner(s), Property Manager will not assume responsibility for illness or injury that guest(s) may incur while on the property. Property/Home owner(s), Property Manager, is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or property of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are assuming the responsibility of any harm arising from their use of the premises or other people they invite to this property (per owner’s approval). Owner has the right to ask guest(s) to leave the property if these rules are violated. If legal action is taken against guest(s), the at fault party will be responsible for all law suits/lawyer fees.
