”We stayed at the Urban Retreat while visiting family in Nanaimo. The host Kathy was quick to respond. Check in was quick and convenient. The unit was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. I would highly recommended! ”

”The host was quick in responding to my inquiry so I can finalize my last minute 2 day trip for two family total 7 people (4 adults and 3 kids).The place was very homey as pictured. Everyone love the island kitchen table where we prep our food and dine around the table. It would be a dream come true if there are stools or chairs so we can sit dining around the kitchen island table.We will definitely rebook and refer our friends to consider this homey house.Sadly we have to leave broken hearted...

Myself and my party were very disappointed as we had to make last minute alternate arrangements My credit card didn’t work, but I was not informed. ”Property was great. Comfortable with a nice kitchen and a beautiful view. Was not expecting the stairs up to the main floor but that wasn't a problem for us. Also close to basic stores for groceries and that sort of thing.”

”When they say rustic they mean it. Hot tub is great but the rest of the property has seen better days. We could not turn the air conditioning off. Owner finally turned the breaker off. The fridge froze fruit and vegetables. For us, the main bed, despite being listed as orthopaedic, was inflexible. The second room and sofabed are slightly more flexible. Noone slept comfortably. Overall lack of lighting and dark wood walls makes it a very dim place to stay. ”
