”Enjoyed our stay, cottage is welcoming and attention to detail appreciated. Very clean and everything you need is thought of. Garden is nice and well kept. Only down side is having no parking, but owner has arranged parking at nearby water park, but this was a little problematic for us. There is quite a bit of road noise as it’s on a relatively busy road, but maybe we notice it more as we live in a very rural location with no traffic and are not used to it. But would def stay again, thank you....

”Cottage was really nice to stay at for our 10 day England trip. Bathrooms being updated was nice and the beds were very comfortable. Being positioned on a golf course off the main road made for quiet nights. The bistro next door with the included 10% discount for staying at the cottage was excellent for breakfast and evening drinks. Perfect little picturesque and quaint cottage. ”

”We needed a property big enough to accommodate 13 people and Bellropes was perfect. Great kitchen, big enough to seat everyone and fully equipped with everything we needed. Garden was huge and being able to get to the beach was an added bonus, if a little further away than the 5 minutes stated.Would definitely recommend for large families wanting a homely place to get-together.Garde ”

”Extraordinary cottage, very well equiped, cosy and confortable.You feel at home and it is just as though Elizabeth 1st is going to knock at your door!The town itself is delicious, with nice people : we had coffee and cake when visiting the church!Also nice shops.Easy to get to London or Cambridge by train from Audley End, and last surprise : Audley End house!Thank you Deborah and Susie, we would certainly be happy to come back and tu recommend Drake cottage”

”The property itself was great, very well equipped, comfortable and has a great view of the river. The information left for us was vey useful and we took advantage of the pizzas at the nearby pub which were excellent. The only down side is the parking. We parked in the designated space but other people park in places which block the roadway or make getting out difficult. Unfortunately the property owner does not have any control over these inconsiderate people but it is something to be aware of...

”Very well appointed and located - pretty wrap around garden with sun at different times of day- close to jetty where grandsons loved crabbing and yummy unpretentious seafood restaurants.Only reservation for some could be 2 flights of steep stairs to 2 of 3 bedrooms with only bathroom and loo downstairs— but cottage dates from 1575 so don’t expect en-suites! - what you do get is character and comfort. ”

”we have a lovely time, communicaiton was good, the property was nice, there was an extra snug at the back of the garden, great for teens. We had all we needed to stay, the communal area was very nice, there is a patio and garden too. We were able to park with 2 cars. It was only a few minutes walk from the shop and from the riverfront.”

”Just a short drive from Saffron Walden, the cottage is ideally situated for exploring Cambridge, Saffron Walden and Audley End House. A really quiet location and very comfortable stay.”

”Our family of 5 adults, 2 children and our cockapoo stayed at Spring Cottage for 2 nights. The house is delightful with low beams and ceilings and nicely furnished. Communication with Loraine was excellent. Lovely enclosed garden. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend. ”
