”New hotel, friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, external surroundings still work in progress”

”Having stayed a few times over the years we knew what to expect . As usual all the staff were helpful and cheerful. However we stayed in room 6 overnight on a very hot day and night so the room was very uncomfortably hot and made sleeping a problem. We did notice there was an air conditioning unit in the ceiling which was not operating and there was no way to control it. Very disappointing, it would have made a big difference on such a hot night. Nevertheless we look forward to our next stay,...

”The hotel was very clean. Staff couldn’t be more helpful. Never stayed at a Days Inn before but would certainly stay with them again. Although the hotel was on the m1 we didn’t hear any traffic noise. There was no restaurant at the hotel but services was next door”

”The staff were very kind and helpful, particularly the lovely lady at breakfast who went above and beyond to make sure my husband who is a coeliac had a safe, cooked breakfast. The cooked breakfast looked delicious and my husband thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the continental breakfast which was included in the room price. A £7.50 extra charge was paid for the cooked breakfast which was great value. The room was basic and a little tired and in need of an upgrade but the bed was very comfortable....

”The hotel is in a prime position for visiting Buxton or touring the area. We were able to check in a little earlier and quickly sorted the 24hr pass for parking right outside the hotel. It felt very secure. The room and bathroom were very clean and the bathroom had a powerful hot shower and lovely fluffy towels. The room is a little tired and could do with a quick makeover. ”Wow! The most beautiful nights stay at The Peacock, the scenery, the room, the food, the staff. I didn't want to leave. I LOVED the little touches - the Peacock shortbread, the glass bottles for water/milk, bath salts. I've stopped in a lot of hotels and I have to say this stay beats them all. Perfect! Thanks so much. I hope to be back soon.”
