”Great spot, so close to Twizel. Beautiful room and really nice big kitchen area and a guest lounge. We made use of the kitchen to cook our supper and enjoyed the continental breakfast (eggs were provided, so we even cooked some eggs). Mary was a very welcoming host and would stay there again (and recommend to friends)”

”Oli mukava paikka, lämmin vastaanotto ja paikan sijainti on loistava. Lauttaterminaalille noin 5 minuutin ajomatka ja kylän keskustaan 10 minuutin kävelymatka. Huone oli tilava ja kylppäri nykyaikainen. Sänky oli hyvä, Wifi pelasi hyvin. Parkkipaikka oli majoituksen yhteydessä. Moderni on se sana mikä paikasta jäi mieleen ja pikkuextrat, kuten pullovedet ja muffinsit:)”

”We were scheduled to spend one night. Weather stranded us in Westport for an extra two nights as all roads to the east side of the South Island were closed. Charles, Jackie and Fran treated us like family making us feel at home. It was a memorable stay in a very nicely restored house of a bygone era with an impressive collection of art and artifacts. ”

The interior could be slightly more modern for my personal taste but everything was very clean and well kept. And you can tell that the owners put a lot of thought into creating a space in which their guests can feel comfortable and welcome. Need to try their Gewürztraminer! ”

"The room was clean and tidy, with a comfortable bed and quality pillows. Breakfast, however, was a disappointment—I missed fresh vegetables and would have appreciated more than just butter to put on my bread. The breakfast area was crowded every morning, and the space felt quite cramped. The food at the hotel restaurant was poor in quality and didn’t meet expectations. Keep in mind that the hotel sits atop a small hill, which makes the walk from Queenstown’s town centre slightly uphill. "
