Wisteria Cottage on viehättävä ajanjaksomökki, joka sijaitsee viehättävän Topshamin sydämessä lähellä Exeteria.

Talo nukkuu 4 ihmistä 2 makuuhuoneessa ja muodostaa täydellisen tukikohdan nauttia kaupungin kaupoista, kahviloista ja ravintoloista - lyhyen kävelymatkan päässä - ja tutustua Etelä-Devoniin.

Idyllisessä paikassa Exe-joen varrella sijaitseva Topsham on historiallinen kaupunki, joka oli aikoinaan tärkeä satama. Se säilyttää viehättävän merenkulun tunnelman hollantilaistyylisissä kauppiaiden taloissa, Georgian rakennuksissa, venelaivoilla ja vilkkaalla laiturilla.

Nykyään Topshamilla on ylellinen, kosmopoliittinen maku sekoittaen tyylikkäitä putiikkeja, antiikkiliikkeitä, gallerioita ja palkittuja ruokakauppoja ja ravintoloita. Vierailijat voivat nauttia ikimuistoisista auringonlaskuista suiston yli, kävelemistä luonnonsuojelualueella ja kesäisin veneretkiä. Exeter ja Exmouthin pitkät hiekkarannat ovat 10 minuutin ajomatkan päässä.

Majoitus on järjestetty kahteen kerrokseen. Pohjakerroksessa on viihtyisä olohuone, jossa mukavat istuimet, taulu-tv kaapeli-TV-ruudulla ja DVD-soitin. Tämä johtaa tilavaan, hyvin varusteltuun keittiöön, jossa on kaikki mukavuudet - kaasuliesi, jääkaappi, pakastin, mikroaaltouuni, astianpesukone ja pesukone. Ruokapöydän paikkaa 4, laajennettavissa 8: een. Ranskalaiset ikkunat avautuvat aidattuun aurinkoiseen sisäpihan puutarhaan, joka tarjoaa täydellisen yksityisyyden.

Yläkerrassa on makuuhuone, jossa king-size-vuode, TV, kahden hengen makuuhuone ja tilava perheen kylpyhuone kylpyammeella ja erillisellä suihkulla.

Mökin keskeisestä sijainnista johtuen lähistöllä on varattu yksityinen pysäköintialue maastoille. Huomaa myös, että tien melu saattaa olla kovaa.

Lovely little cottage

Lovely cottage just a few minutes walk from the beautiful estuary. The whole place was spotlessly clean. The beds were comfortable with lovely bed linen. It has a nice little courtyard at the back and a parking spot five minutes walk up the road, which is a real bonus! We really enjoyed our stay in Wisteria Cottage and would definitely stay there again.

Wisteria Cottage Topsham

We had a very good week at Wisteria Cottage. There were two things to mention, one being that the bottom drawer of the oven fell off when we opened it and was difficult to put back properly. The other minor detail was that the screw became loose on the bathroom towel ring and could not be adjusted. Otherwise, everything else was of a high standard.

Convenient property close to Exeter

The house is generally functional but to us it felt a little 'tired' inside. Other visitors may not take the same view of course.The bathroom has a full size bath where a walk-in shower would be much more convenient. The shower cubicle is tiny for anyone of average size. The kitchen is the best room, with all utensils, gadgets and appliances that would be required for a short term stay. The garden is nice with practical garden furniture. One drawback is that a neighboring property feeds flocks of starlings constantly throughout the day, every day, so it can be a little unpleasant to use the garden. This isn't the property owners fault and other visitors may have a different attitude to encouraging these type of birds.The 2 bedrooms upstairs, with the bathroom in between, are quite okay with decent storage. We used the back room with twin beds because the front of the house can be noisy with the Lord Nelson pub directly opposite. (again this is outside the property owner's control). The twin beds are a little on the small size for larger adults and quite low to the ground.It is a centre terrace property but the party walls appear solid and we weren't disturbed in any way by the neighbours (apart from the startlings!). The property is very convenient for the bus to Exmouth/Exeter, and likewise the train station is only a short walk away. A number of pubs doing the usual pub food and a nice restaurant, The Galley, nearby.

Delightful place to stay

Wisteria cottage was a very comfortable and cosy place to stay. Everywhere was clean and in good condition.The bed was very comfortable with high quality linen. The location was within 2 minutes walk of the village centre and extremely quiet even though it was on the main road. The parking was an absolute bonus.We would very happily stay here again.

Wisteria Cottage

As always we had another lovely holiday in this brilliant property. It’s a real home from home. Has everything you need and is very comfy & cosy. The TV was a slight problem, but did not spoil our holiday at all. We are assured by Alex the TV will be replaced, so thank you for that. Our next trip is already booked for December so we can definitely recommend this cottage and Topsham is a lovely place to stay. There is a dedicated parking space at the railway station a short walk away and the bus stop (57) is almost at the front door, which takes you either to Exmouth or into Exeter in the opposite direction. There are plenty of places to eat, our favourite this trip was Denley’s the Essence of India, a short walk away from the cottage. Looking forward to our December trip.

We enjoyed staying at the cottage. It had everything we needed & we were very comfortable.I was very disappointed that someone let themselves in to empty the bins when collection wasnt due & did so unescorted & without asking..this should not have happened

We had a great stay at Wisteria Cottage, it was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed for a great stay. The location was also excellent with easy access to Exeter and beyond, plus a couple of minutes walk from the shops and riverside at Topsham.

Fabulous Christmas stay

My Mum and I had a fabulous Christmas stay in this gorgeous cosy cottage. Beautiful welcome with Christmas decorations, chocolates and a bottle of bubbly. Exceptionally clean and well equipped. Such a great location. And parking a bonus as a short walk round the corner. We will be coming back hopefully in the summer as a great spot to walk into Topsham.

Practically Perfect

This was the second stay at this cosey cottage . Perfectly situated for walking into town and along the river . Beds comfortable with quality bedding. Courtyard garden was clean and tidy the frount door needs attention due to sticking and really having to push very hard to open and toiket seat is to small for pan which is a little off putting . The private Parking was easy and a bonus in Topsham . Would highly recommended this cottage . cold). Only o )

Lovely cottage, ideally situated

This is my fifth visit to Wisteria cottage in as many years, which says it all really! Ideally situated, dedicated parking space (up the hill), short walk to train station (up the hill) and even nearer to buses, and short walk to shops and restaurants. Characterful cottage well equipped, always clean, and communications with property manager (Alex) and house keeper (Claire) always excellent.

Fantastic cottage

Perfect location to base a visit to Exeter area. Topsham is a picturesque little village with good restaurants and travel links. Cottage itself is really comfortable and pristine. Had a plumbing issue that the owner sorted within an hour. Will definitely use the next time in Exeter. Parking space was very useful as parking in topsham is limited

Wisteria Cottage, Topsham, Devon

We have stayed in Wisteria Cottage many times over the years. It is one of our favourite places. The cottage is very comfortable, a well equipped kitchen and sunny garden area. It would be nice to have a parasol over the table in the garden, it is a sun trap most of the day. Topsham is a nice town, it has a small supermarket, butcher, greengrocer, cheese shop and bakery, plus many more independent shops. There are plenty of places to eat, all are excellent, The Lighter Inn does a lovely Sunday roast, as do many other places, we just couldn’t try them all on this trip. Denley’s is an excellent Indian Restaurant, definitely worth a visit. We would definitely recommend at trip on Stuart Line Cruises, they do various trips from Exmouth, it is a really good day/evening out and reasonably priced. The No. 57 bus stop is a few yards along the street and runs every 20 minutes, it is approximately 15 minutes into Exeter and about the same time in the opposite direction to Exmouth. Hopefully we’ll be back again next year.
