”I absolutely loved Dowd's Country Inn! The Inn is lovingly maintained - inside and out. My room was beautifully furnished, with soft lighting, and an exceptionally comfortable bed. Breakfast is made-to-order and included in the reasonable lodging fee. The spacious common areas brimmed with character. Duncan Dowd went the extra mile in providing attentive hospitality and service. Being located right on the lovely Lyme Town Green, adds even more interest and charm. I will definitely look...

”I booked this room for my sons because we had our basement sealed and had to be out of the house for 24 hours. My wife and I were out of town and I booked this room for my two sons, 19 and 20 years old. They were not allowed to check in even though I called and talked to the desk manager.”

”Would have been better if the fire alarm didn’t go off twice and neither time were we told it was safe to go back inside. No acknowledgment of the alarms at the very early hours of the morning. Otherwise the property was okay. Simple and relatively clean. The sleeper sofa had food crumbs on the mattress.”

”I have stayed here many times and I have always found the hotel to be clean, comfortable, and well maintained. They also have added coffee and breakfast available in the morning which is a plus. My only complaint is that the valet parking is exorbitant. It's easier to leave your car on the street over night and move it before 9 am, which they don't tell you.”

”My reviews weren’t great just because they are in the middle of renovations. I was in a room not renovated and the bathroom needed updating. Other than that, the staff was pleasant and it looked like things would be much better after the renovations.”

”Staff was wonderful! Our junior suite was comfortable. We enjoyed some of the older touches of the place as it evoked good memories of times gone by. Things are basic and it was very clean. The bed was comfortable and we were thankful for the ac that we could control in the room. Lots of easy walking and interesting places to eat in walking distance. Only downside is the parking so be prepared to walk a bit. There are a few handicapped spots right outside. Would certainly come back and...
