”Lots of character, authentic, old inn. Good parking on site at rear with nice garden to sit in. Nice ambiance overall. Staff competent. Evening meal - we had the hake - was excellent. Good breakfast. The double room we stayed in overlooked the main street. It was sufficiently quiet although it was smaller than we would have liked. Satisfactory for one or two nights stay, and at the price point very acceptable. Would not rule out staying again if in the area.”

”I booked through Expedia and didn't realise that even though it says the hotel has air con. That is only if you book a room with air con. Standard rooms don't have it. Our first roo. Had a meagre fan and smelt bad. However the staff were great and moved us to a room with air con and we were lucky as it was the last one!
But the bathroom was not clean. Had to get people to come and clean the bath which had scummy around it at the bottom and the room door was broken and the top.
