”Lovely pub / B&B in beautiful village just half a mile walk from the sea and SW Coast Path.”

”I had a lovely room, I was surprised breakfast wasn’t included/offered. Staff were friendly but I couldn’t get internet which may have been just me. I was on my own and wanted to plan my next day, couldn’t even get 4G. Not even in the bar. Young lady said it was a bad area??!! Plenty parking and lots of people eating so food must be good. I just had (a very small) portion of chips. ”

”The location was great for our purposes and the parking was good. Breakfasts were excellent, there was a nice patio and garden out the back. Well-run family B&B. The principal negatives were the noise (our suite overlooked the main road) and the very spasmodic Wi-Fi. At this price point it was disappointing.”

”Lovely stop on the way to Cornwall. Gorgeously comfortable bed and linen. We arrived exhausted from a long transatlantic flight with 2 cats and the owner was so kind to us. She saved our bacon as we honestly could not have driven further! Superb breakfast and we will definitely return 💜”

”Absolutely loved our weekend at the Dower House! Amazing location surrounded by nature, the building is so beautiful and our room was huge and had every comfort. All the things you don't find in chain hotels are here - four poster bed, comfy sofa, coffee table and chairs sat amongst a wonderful backdrop, dark and quiet at night for a great sleep. And not to forget the amazing and genuine owners, Tim and Rosemarie, and Teresa who served a great breakfast ”

”When we walked in the room at 9.45pm the room was freezing cold, we found the radiators and turned the heating on but at 11pm the heating went off and didn’t come on again until the morning which meant we was cold all night. Plus there was a clear draft coming through the main front door and from the bathroom. When we looked around the room there was black mould by the front door and around the bath. There was a stain on the bed sheet. There was a filter plastic strip on the floor under the...
