”We have stayed at the Bay Filey before so knew the location was good. Starfish Shack was very comfortable, warm and well warm equipped. We would have no hesitation in staying at Starfish Shack again.”

The owners have thought of everything you could possibly need, it’s extremely well equipped. Excellent WiFi. Parking just outside. It’s well located in the complex, close to the pub and leisure facilities. Would definitely recommend and hopefully we’ll be staying there again.”

”Dudley's Retreat is a wonderful apartment on The Bay. We have stayed in a number of properties there and this is by far our favourite. Check in and pre-information was clear and concise. The attention to detail is excellent with all the cooking equipment you could need. It was super clean when we arrived and everything you need to keep it that way is in the apartment. ”We love visiting Filey out of season to walk on the beach with our dog and Bliss on the Bay provided everything we needed for our short stay (& everything we would need for a longer stay too). It was modern, clean & attractively furnished and decorated. The pass for the gym and swimming pool at The Bay was provided and there is a shop and an excellent pub within the complex. ”We really enjoy coming to The Bay and this year was no exception until New Year’s Eve when Fireworks were going off near our cottage! Our dog is absolutely terrified of them and was unfortunately left very distressed! We pay a lot of money each year to go to The Bay as it is a firework free place so we would definitely think twice before booking in future! Which is a massive shame.”

”This wasn't the most comfortable or homely stay I have had at The Bay at Filey. The apartment is very basic and not homely. I would say it is adequate, with basic seating, minimal crockery and dark furnishings, which are a little depressing. It was very clean and tidy. There was no mirror near a socket to use the hairdryer. A strong smell of curry, which after the windows were opened, still stayed unfortunately. There was a lot of flies inside this property.”
