”The building was not so beautiful from the outside, but very clean and all renovated inside. Wonderful bed and bathroom. Excellent breakfast served to us. Friendly staff, carried our suitcases upstairs as there is no lift. Wouldn’t hesitate to go again.”

”We had to be in Oxfordshire for the funeral of a very special friend and came across the Red Lion in our search for accommodation for a couple of days. Our experience was excellent - the room was fine and very comfortable and the kitchen provided excellent menus. But the main comment is how brilliant your staff were - they made our visit so much more agreeable than it might have been.”

”I booked a room, which turned out to be very cold. I booked this premium hotel to be comfortable, and I wasn't. I called about this in the evening and they came to fix it. I also called in the morning, but no one came. I might be old-fashioned, but back in the day there would be immediate compensation for a satisfactory resolution, i.e. free breakfast. Something like this would have made up for the issue, but nothing was offered. Feels like "thank you for your £200+, we dont care how it was...
