Hidden gem in central Firenze
Really an exceptional hotel. We were a family of seven on our Italian holiday. Having travelled quite a bit, it is difficult to surprise us. But this hotel did it. Really centrally located, nearby of everything. Extremely helpfull staff, be it finding a bus to Primark or a place to eat. I can truly recommend this.

I am sorry to read your feedback, the night porter mentioned your irritation at check out over payment for water but to be honest I didn't understand why. Stayed one night. We got there before check in time and they cleaned our room as we waited. Friendly staff. Perfect location!! Walk out and right into the Duomo cathedral. Shops and restaurants all walking distance. Clean and comfortable room.

Close to the Duomo, not too far from the train station and Unita to walk to, very helpful and pleasant staff, great breakfasts included in the price, room was a little musty and walls were a bit thin (noise-wise)

Great experience with a hotel that exudes character. Central location, walkable to many of the attractions. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast hit all the boxes. Room was simple but clean and comfortable. We would stay here in the future.

The staff here went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and provide recommendations for food and activities in the area. It was nice to arrive and be greeted by a friendly face. The location was in the middle of all the activity and still felt safe, and the rooms were comfortable and quiet despite being so central to all the activity. My only complaints were that there were mosquitoes in the room which made it difficult to feel settled to sleep, some mold/mildew in the shower, and the coffee from the machine at breakfast tasted burnt. It was an excellent location and the staff made us feel welcome. It was more straightforward and simple accommodation than other places on out trip, but I would stay here again.

Grazie Doug, I am glad you enjoyed your stay. Firenze is on a river, there is an issue with mosquitoes almost all year round now due to the climate change. Even though we have special insect repellent balls in the rooms, it is best not to leave the windows open. A couple of weeks ago we did try a new brand of coffee at the bar which we didn't like either, I think we have nailed it now. Happy safe travels

This is a hidden gem that is walking distance to all the sites. Amazing staff and breakfast was good. Controlled entry, very safe. We highly recommend this hotel.

Il Perseo is an excellent mid-priced, centrally-located option in Florence. Dont get freaked out when you arrive as the building and facility looked a bit old and worn, my room was beautiful and bath was spotless. The management and staff were just terrific in terms of directions, restaurant recommendations, etc. The breakfast is standard but quite good. For the price, this is a great value in an expensive, touristy Italian city!

The location was convenient. I could walk easily to sightseeing and restaurants. The staff helped me to find places to eat. They helped me with reserving a ticket to the Uffizi and gave me great tips on places to see in Florence. The room was kept nice and clean. It was quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful.

Their location was tremendous and the staff could not have been more accommodating. Don’t let the initial look of the door/gate and the elevator discourage you from staying here. There is some much to do nearby that we didn’t really spend much time in the room but he certainly checked the box! I would definitely recommend staying here.

The Staff was extremely kind and helpful. Location is great, and close to many attractions by walking. Also close to train station, which was helpful, easy to get to from airport. Room was very clean and comfy, as was the bathroom. Plus room looks just like the picture so no surprises! The check-in person was super friendly and helpful. Also appreciated that there was an elevator! Lastly, can’t beat the location! A block away from the Duomo, and surprisingly quiet in my room that faced the busy street! Would stay here again!

The staff is friendly and professional, the hotel administration was very friendly, the reception staff were on the lookout for us before check in. The location is undeniably one of its great successes, although room touched us was in the quieter part of the hotel, being in an old building when using the bathroom, you could hear how the water ran through the pipes.

Location is everything. Right in the middle of all the action. This is a great place to make your base and walk to everything. Friendly staff, nice breakfast, 24 hour front desk, fresh laundered sheets, daily room made up, elevator to the 3rd floor for check in. All in all an excellent place.

We loved our weekend stay at historic Hotel Perseo! Our top floor suite had an amazing view of the Duomo and was like a small multi-floor apartment with everything we needed. It was well kept and the breakfast inclusion was a great amenity. The convenient location in the city center was a definite benefit. I would highly recommend.

The staff at the hotel were very friendly & helpful. They had our room prepared & let us check in early. The hotel was very clean, central location to everything, & offered free breakfast. The buiding is also felt very safe with their security system in place.
