The unit was perfectly located a block or two away from Uffizi, the basilica, numerous trattorias, and everything else! It was clean, safe, and perfect with a bed in the main room with private bathroom and two twins beds in a second room for our kids. There was a nice little entry foyer with several other units that offered a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee and tea for guests.
Armand was a helpful and informative host, allowing us to check in early so we could leave our luggage while the unit was being cleaned for us from the prior guest. That saved us about $25 from having to leave luggage at a storage facility. Not something we expected but very much appreciated!
We mostly used the stairs but there is a small elevator helpful when arriving or departing with luggage. As the name of the unit implies, it's across from the famous porcellino fountain and a small and active covered marketplace where leather vendors set up shop and pack things up in the evening. There was entertaining live pianist/violin music performing for passerby and sidewalk cafes that was enjoyable to listen to from our room. Slightly on the loud side but it set the ambiance and they stopped playing around 9pm.
I would recommend staying here if you are looking for a perfect location, comfortable accommodations, and a reasonable price.
