Pro-excellent location 5/10 minutes walk from Triton fountain & bus station.Hot tub on roof was great,you have to book this at reception and it is for your own personal use.Unlimited hot drinks from machine in reception.
Negatives-unfortunately this hotel was being renovated during our stay. We had no information regarding this. Checked into our room to find the safe in bits,so I tried to phone reception but phone wasn’t working.I went back to reception only to be told they were waiting on new suppliers, resulting in us having to take our passports and money with us when out of our room.I had absolutely no issue with the workman but there were so many coming and going,I was very glad my husband was with me and I wasn’t a solo traveller, again with the room phone being out of order we had no means of help should we have needed it.Not sure if there are health and safety policies in Malta…. But a lot of things were not what we would expect in the UK.The room on first glance looked very modern, clean, freshly painted.We were 3rd floor with a small balcony. Few snagging points noticed but this may be fixed when the hotel is finished being upgraded.Breakfast on the first morning was 40 minutes late, thankfully our prebooked tour was at 10am. Don’t expect a banquet.Bread/cheese/yogurts/apples/fried & scrambled eggs. Staff were foreign so unable to fully understand us.Indoor cave pool was definitely not heated.
Lots of nice eating places close by,Jeff’s,Turkish, pizza.
