The Space:
You'll be one block - a two-minute walk - from the sandy shores of Folly Beach at this comfortable, elevated home, ideally located within easy strolling distance of all the shops, eateries, and recreational outfitters on Center Street. This free-standing home offers plenty of parking and privacy, central air conditioning to keep you cool on even the warmest of summer days, and high-speed WiFi and cable TV for your at-home entertainment. Leave the day's swimsuits and towels to spin in the private washer/dryer in the basement, and spend the afternoon sipping cold drinks, sharing snacks, and playing cards on the spacious screened-in porch with two dining tables. There's a fully equipped, remodeled kitchen with granite countertops to assist in preparing dinner each evening, as well as an elevated sun deck where you can take in the golden hour views.

What's nearby:
This family-friendly home sits one block back from the beach, so your toes can be in the sand in less than two minutes. In the summer months, Charleston County Parks & Recreation provides two lifeguard-protected swimming areas on Folly Beach - one on the front beach and a second on the far west end at Folly Beach County Park. You'll also be three and a half blocks from Center Street, the main hub of Folly Beach that's lined with restaurants, eateries, shops, and recreational outfitters.

Restful Beach Trip

The house was a charming “beach house”, not the newer mini-mansion. Reminded me of old time Folly Beach. But inside was newly updated with all modern conveniences.

While the structure itself is older, it clearly has been remodeled to provide a second bathroom and a fairly updated kitchen. However, there was a lot of deferred maintenance. I felt, a wicker couch, and a couple of chairs on the deck were so sun damaged the proximity to the beach was great, and one could easily walk to Main Street of Folly Beach. that you couldn’t sit in it. The beds were satisfactory, and two of the three bedrooms had sufficient space. The third bedroom would’ve been best for a child. The dirt and bugs between the screen and the window were horrific.

This is a very nice place to stay!

We arrived about 3 weeks after hurricane Ian blew through. The property held up pretty well with only a few screens missing from the front porch. It could use a little TLC.. but still very nice. The property was very clean and the kitchen was very well equipped!

Nice but small house. Ideal for family of four as long as your children aren't too old. If you have teens, one shower won't be ideal, otherwise it was clean and comfortable.

Great location, property in desperate need of attention and updating

Very good location but dreadful interior and hardware in tub/shower was literally falling off and not working properly. Good thing we were able to even get the water to shut off. Terribly overpriced for what it was, I felt robbed after leaving. We rented another house several doors down and just stayed there 90% of our stay. Won’t rent this property again unless it’s renovated!

Perfect location on Folly!

We had a great time! The host was in constant contact and check-in was super easy (even texted us that we could check in early!) Short walk to the beach and to town (bars/shops etc.). The house fit 4 of us perfectly - only downside is not enough mirrors for 4 women and couch is not super comfortable (:

good

only one dresser with a broken knob. so one drawer was hard to use. no dressers in other rooms and very few hangers. hooks would be very helpful on the backs of doors or where ever. faucets in bathtub/shower in bad shape. need replaced. grass needed cut AC broke while we were there, We appreciated the quick response. It was unclear and difficult to get an actual person to speak to. lots of recording and texting. a more personal response would be very appreciated. Nice location. We had several very friendly interactions with other people.

We will be back, Folly! The house was great and ready for us. This was our third year in this house and we love the location!! The only things we needed that were not available in the house were aluminum foil and bowls with lids. The refrigerator door is a little aggravating to close and the first bedroom on the left gets hot at night and the ceiling fan may need to be looked at...it’s wobbly. Thanks for the good memories!
