”We have rented for many years. Homes, cabins, etc. This cottage was outstanding. We were perfectly happy with the stay. Very clean. Everything seemed to be new. Privacy fence around the entire backyard, which was great for us as well as the dog. Near enough to downtown but approx. 3/4 mile or more to walk. All level walking area, but the heat can take its toll. There is plenty of parking in town, so if walking is an issue I suggest the short drive. The owners of the cottage were available at all...

”This beautiful cottage is so perfectly located and beautifully appointed! Could not have been easier or better. Black Mountain, Montreat, Asheville -- you will see it all and stay in a convenient and super cute little house. Everything is new and nice and you'll love it!”

”Great place to stay and set up to bring dogs with also. 2 bedrooms with 2 baths attached to bedrooms. Kitchen set up to be able to cook in easily though cottage close to town of Black Mountain that has great restaurants. Cottage also has washer and dryer which was helpful. Also has hot tub which we used one evening. Fenced in yard for dogs. Very comfortable up to house up to 4 people.”

”This place may be small is size but it is mighty in everything else. It was well equipped with many extras that are not always available. Kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans and everything you need to cook a meal and have coffee and tea afterward. The bathroom also had extras including shampoo and other needed items. The king-sized bed was comfortable with bedside tables/lamps on both sides. Quiet neighborhood and easy access to downtown and other activities. The outdoor space is a place...

”Griffin’s Lair was a great location for anyone visiting the Biltmore. The neighbors surrounding the location were very friendly and we loved walking to different locations for dining and shopping. It was very clean and we had everything we needed for our short trip. I would definitely stay again. The Biltmore and Biltmore Village have such a rich history and we loved being a part of it!”

”Accommodation was as described. Used as a base station for 3 preplanned day hikes in the area. The hot tub was very enjoyable after completing each hike. Only negative was that most of the nice places to eat were a 10-15 minute ride from the location.”
