Asunnot – Fort Augustus

”The kitchen faucet was hard to turn off at times. Not sure if it needs a bit of tweaking. Also, we didn't put the rubbish in the outside bin since it was already overflowing. We did put the food waste & the recyclables in the bins.”

”Lovely studio in town very clean, lots of videos or books to entertain. Small creek in the back for kids to play. Highly recommend for traveling family looking to stay in the area.”

”Unique location ...close to Loch Ness boat tours, gas station/grocery about 2 blocks away and variety of restaurants. I recommend The Bothy for dinner. If you have anyone in your party with mobility issues....up multiple flights of stairs...you should move on. Communication was great and arrival instructions clear. Combo washer and dryer was the only negative experience we had...instructions were left but had never used one before and couldn't get the hang of it....surely my error.”

”The apartment is beautifully decorated. Everything seemed to be of high quality, including the beds, towels, etc. The location is excellent as you can go north or south within an hours drive to reach many sites. The property is right on the lake so it is very nice to just sit and relax there. our only issue was with the man who checked us in and was supposed to show us the appliances, etc. in the apartment. He seemed in a rush to do this as quickly as possible, and was not terribly thorough....

”The nicely appointed two bedrooms two bathrooms with kitchen and living room was perfect for two couples. The apartment was well equipped including washer/dryer and the owner made sure we had tea coffee and milk available. The Highland Club grounds and swimming pool were wonderful and we had full access. We also enjoyed the nearby boathouse restaurant and easy walks into town. We enjoyed our stay!”

”The Boys Dormitory is a beautiful apartment with stunning views of Loch Ness and worth climbing the steps to reach it. The apartment was clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. It was a pleasure to wander the Victorian monastery and the grounds surrounding it. It was the perfect base to explore Loch Ness and there are good walking trails nearby. Booking a slot for the pool/sauna was easy and it is worth visiting. There is a good choice of places to eat nearby and our favourite was Beaufort...

”We enjoyed our stay. It’s great for being able to explore that side of the country. It’s very remote and peaceful. The property is stunning. I only wish the little village had places that stayed open a bit later for food. ”

”We enjoyed our stay over all however there were a few little things that bothered us. The apartment door was tricky and all the doors in the apartments are heavy and don’t stay open unless you move something heavy to hold them open. The swimming pool has to be booked in advance so limits you to what you can do if your desired times aren’t available. We enjoyed the pool and spa time we had. The immediate area is very sweet with lots of food choices. We didn’t eat in the resort restaurant. ”

”We had the most memorable time at the Gruinyards! It is the most beautiful and magical place we have ever stayed. Everything in the flat and on the monastery grounds was perfection. Nothing can beat the view of Loch Ness from the massive windows. It was pure poetry. Thank you, Jonathan!!”
