This recently updated house is the perfect home base for your Mendocino Coast vacation. It's in the "sun belt," where it's usually warm even on foggy days.

Located 2 miles from Highway 1 in Fort Bragg, this residence is still very close to downtown and other attractions. You can be at Pudding Creek Beach in 5 minutes, at Glass Beach and the Skunk Train in 7 minutes, at the world-famous Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens in 12 minutes, and in the historic downtown of Mendocino Village in 20 minutes.

  • Glass Beach is a beach in MacKerricher State Park near Fort Bragg, California, that is abundant in sea glass created from years of dumping garbage into an area of coastline near the northern part of the town. Once upon a time the sand was coated in brightly colored bits of sea glass, and social media is full of photos that make it look as if the sand still looks that way, but that isn't the case. Over the years the public has raided the beach of much of its glass. Now at first look, some might say it looks like any other ordinary beach. Yes you can still find glass here, but you have to look for it, and most of colored glass is long gone. It all makes for a fun little treasure hunt however! Peaceful Weekend in a Lovely Home

We had a great weekend with friends! Spent two amazing days in this clean, well-organized home that had everything we needed. Marina is a wonderful host—she’s made the place beautiful, nicely decorated, and even added fresh flowers, which was such a nice touch. The sauna in the lovely garden was a highlight! We’ll definitely be coming back.

A Perfect Weekend

Country Perfect

This property is perfect for two couples. Everyone has their own space. The garden is stunning, and we spent a lot of time walking there, admiring the abunance of flowers . Very comfortable, and we equipped We will come back soon.

Lovely Home & Beautiful Garden

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house is located in a nice/quiet neighborhood just out of town. It was very interesting property- we particularly loved exploring the back yard/garden area with all its beautiful flowers, herbs and trees. We also appreciated the use of the washer and dryer since we had been traveling for nearly a week prior to our arrival. The kitchen was well appointed and we had fun cooking our fresh catches there. The beds were clean and comfy - we slept great the 2 nights we were there. Thank you!

The house was extremely clean and spacious. It was more inland then I thought it would be but everything we wanted to do was very easy to get to and the house was well worth the price and travel. This house is definitely worth a look for a trip to Ft. Bragg.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, it was so clean and well equipt. We had lots of fun in the yards with the blooming flowers, toddler toys, decks and of course the ducks and chickens to watch in their fenced garden area. We hope to visit again.

The Red Door Welcome!

This property provided all that we needed and more. It was spacious, clean, decorated beautifully and even had fresh flowers on the table, fresh eggs in the fridge and real life plants throughout. Lighting is an issue for me, and I was so pleased to see the bathrooms were bright as well as the other rooms. Put this one on your list. We had great fun at local beaches, hiking trails and delicious restaurants

There was not one thing we didn't like about our stay. The home was clean, cozy, in a wonderfully quiet location. The backyard was amazing and we enjoyed the firepit while we relaxed. We had everything we needed and will definitely be coming back.

Perfect getaway

We initially planned a group getaway for the new year weekend it ended up with just us two and it was the perfect romantic weekend. The house is in a quiet neighborhood just 7 minutes from beaches and hiking trails. Everything we needed was at our disposal. Marina was very responsive to an inquiry about the hot water worked. Looking forward to returning in the summer.

Lovely House

This house is wonderful, bigger than than expected! The kitchen is very well equipped with plenty of pots and pans, kitchen equipment spices, coffee etc. Very clean, all the blankets, beds and couches were so clean and smelled great. We arrived on a chilly day and Marina made sure to light the wood stoves before we came so the house was warm. I had a few questions and she responded so quickly. Will definitely be booking this house in the future! Very family friendly!

Cozy, Clean, and Charming

This place is perfect! It is quiet and in a nice neighborhood away from the busy area of town, but still is only minutes away from the beach. We woke up to the sound of chickens and a beautiful garden view and immediately felt at home. Escape to this welcoming home away from home.
