We booked 2 rooms (4 people). It was paid before our stay. My business friends who would stay at the Second room missed their plane and didn’t make check in on the first day.
Second day I informed the reception about their situation for late check-in based on their next flight availability.
However, In the second day I was informed by the hotel that they cancelled the reservation of second room because of no check-in made. I went to the reception and told the situation again.
Briefly, these are our rooms whether we stay or not. Hotel management cancelled the room which was already paid in order to resell it. I don’t accept this situation! I also advised them to make the check in for my name because of the uncertainty of my friends’ arrival…
As a result my friends also informed of that situation and they didn’t want to stay at a hotel with such mentality. I made check out one day earlier and started to stay with my friends at another hotel.
