”What a pleasure it was to stay there last night. We stayed in room 3, which is the "Crying Lady" room. I didn't hear her unfortunately but my wife was snoring. Can I please just give a mention to Ben, who didn't stop all day. A true gentleman. An extra mention to the "Undercover Boss"... You know who you are. We will be back soon. A special place and the food was to die for. Thanks again.x”

”Came here with my sister just to have a catch-up. Crooked Inn is in a beautiful quiet location. All the staff were so friendly, helpful and welcoming. Room and grounds are well maintained. Food was good. We both had a lovely stay and definitely recommend. ”

”This was our second year here, due to the friendliness of the staff, the comfort of the room, the quality of the food and the location. You can do as much or as little as you like using this as a base. We just love the ambience of the whole area. We did trips by car, train, boat, bus as well as feet. Would visit again. ”Lovely old hotel in the heart of the village , roaring fire , great menu and if like me you are a coeliac you are well catered for . Parking just around the corner and very cheap Very clean room , everything needed . Excellent breakfast and so friendly , we will return ”

”The unique thing about the Halfway House Inn is that it is truly dog friendly, no rip off £15 - 20 a night charge that we got at all the other hotels/pubs we stayed in on our 18 days away. We were made to feel welcome with our dog and not treated like 2nd class citizens”
