”Amazing, atmospheric place. Beautifully laid out to keep the feel of a fortified manor.
My only disappointment was the bed. My room had two singles pushed together, which is fairly normal in Germany. However these were two narrow wooden beds, with the frames higher than the mattress. Whilst the style was in keeping with the room, the actual sleeping space was limited, and I kept kicking the frame during the night. Mattress was comfortable though.”
”Typical German Gasthaus. Parking can be a challenge getting out when lot is full. Limited pillows for bed. Stayed in Room 6 and did not have rouladin, so light shone in room and did not contribute to privacy. ”
”While booking a place for a night close to the highway, I failed to notice there’s no reception. You’re supposed to send an ID copy in advance and get a key code. I noticed this only at the door and had to look for a number to call. The guy was helpful though and just recited the code on the phone.
The pros of this place are low price (€55 for a single bed) and location at the gate of a quaint little castle town. While there’s no restaurant, there is a decent pizzeria on the shore less than 1km...

”This hotel was very, very nice. Definitely upscale but historical. The room was so nice and the very clean. This is my favorite hotel we stayed in while we were traveling in Germany. One plus was you can park right in front. Parking was a big issue at a lot of hotels in Germany. The restaurant was fantastic. Some of the best German food I had in Germany.”
”O Hotel é um encanto. Um casarão antigo que manteve móveis e artigos de decoração da época. Ficamos em um apartamento para família, nele há 2 quartos grandes , claros e bem ventilados. Um com cama de casal, o outro com 2 camas de solteiro. Também um closet e um banheiro enorme, com banheira . Não há elevador, ficamos no terceiro andar, as escadas são bem confortáveis. As roupas de cama são novas. O café da manhã é servido em porções, podendo pedir reposição.”
