”We had a wonderful stay at Wayside Inn. Our host, Joe, was very helpful and was a great chef! Our breakfasts were very good and got us ready for the day ahead. Parking was not a problem and the surrounding yard was shady and pleasant. The giant oak in the front is reported to be 200 or more years old. Our room and bath were well maintained. ”I stayed in B2, which is a basement room. It had a VERY strong mildew odor, chipped furniture with crooked drawers, and patchwork paint on the ceilings. This room does NOT warrant the 3.5 rating that this property has, however, other rooms may be better. The shower was clean, however, so they earned one Star for that.”

”For the price my hotel room was ok. Staff was very nice and accommodating. The elevator by our room was down but there is another elevator at the other end of the hotel that was working. Room was clean but the air conditioning was running water maintenance did come and try and fix. The only thing I would complain about is the rooms have really poor lighting the lights are really dull in the room.”

”This hotel was absolutely disgusting. The entire property was dirty, smelled terrible, and looked nothing like the pictures online. I was shocked and disappointed from the moment I walked into the room. There were roaches crawling all over the bathroom, including on the sink and around the toilet. The towels appeared dirty, and the room did not look like it had been properly cleaned. I immediately informed the front desk staff about the issues, but I was told there was nothing they could do...

”Beautiful location. It’s in the heart of Columbia but tucked away perfectly for a nice retreat. Right by a nice trail. The view of the lake is breathtaking. Pool closes kind of early so make sure you pay attention to the time. Restaurant was worth every penny. Beds were nice. Loved the personalized touch with the tv having my name on it.”
