”This house has a lot of history and reminded me and my wife of our childhood. Very clean and organized! Appreciate the hosts for there efforts in making us welcome. We would recommend this location to anyone and would come back if the opportunity presents itself in the future. The only one negative thing we would say was that the showers did not have great water pressure. I would recommend the shower heads be replaced. ”

”The views are beautiful. We loved the big wrap around porch and utilized it most of the time. It does have a hillside to get to the firepit which might make it difficult for some. The kids of all ages had a great weekend together. There are many spices to accommodate any meal. It was a much needed family weekend!”

”We wanted a peaceful getaway and that’s what got at the Buck Shack. We were a short drive with breathtaking views and landscapes. We enjoyed a campfire with s’mores at night. Enjoyed the sound of nature and birds singing. Had excellent communication with host and most everything we needed when we arrived. The indoor decor is rustic and beautifully decorated with small accents and details. Highly recommend!☺️”

”My husband and I (and our dog) loved the peaceful location right on the Tuscarawas River. It’s a quiet retreat with great porches. The yard is large and our grandkids had fun playing there. The host was very responsive with any requests we had. Nearby is a microbrewery and also, a winery within walking distance. We also rented kayaks a few miles away for a fun day. The host, Maxx and his family were friendly and helpful. Great visit!”

”This was our second visit and it did not disappoint. Although southeastern Ohio was in the midst of a heat wave, we rode bikes early in the morning, visited Salt Fork, Mosser Glass, The Underground Railroad Museum (outstanding, can't wait for their new location), John and Annie Glen home, Zane Gray and National Road Museums. Enjoyed the porch after the sun went down and in the early morning. Joe and family ALWAYS take great care of their visitors and we will visit again. ”

”We had a slight hiccup in the original property that we were supposed to stay at, but these guys went ABOVE AND BEYOND to fix the issue. We stayed at one of the other properties and it did not disappoint! It was beautiful, peaceful, secluded… I just can’t say enough about the property! We did some fishing and canoeing in the ponds, caught some nice bass. They are a great family to work with, very responsive. We will definitely be back. If you stay at one of their properties make sure you get...

”everything was good landscaping could have been cleaned up and mowed and there was a very noticeable smell in bathroom and parts of the house that smelled like sewer or drainage problems. But other than that it was very comfortable with a nice kitchen with all kind of cookware the bed were comfortable and the shuffle board table was really enjoyable would highly recommend this place ”
