I told the front desk and was moved to a new room without a discount or upgrade. The new room had stains all over the blankets and brown hair on the beds. I LOVE the fireside inn in Belfast Maine so I figured the Portland fireside would be similar and I was absolutely disgusted and shocked. $180 for nasty rooms.”

We did not take advantage of all the hotel has to offer, as we were busy at our event. The included breakfast buffet has many carb options that are good, including waffles, but the protein choices were awful - yes, they were hot, but they were the usual pre-made fake eggs and mystery-meat sausages, and everything to put on the waffles was cheap sugar.
