Majatalot – Fuji

”民泊って感じで、静かな住宅街にありました。 子供と泊まったので、うるさくして まわりの家の方にご迷惑をおかけしないか心配しました。”

”Very friendly staff with warm atmosphere - even when you do not have any ideas to enjoy your stay at that area, you will get better suggestions from them. One thing to keep in your mind - wish to have better weather during your stay!”

”The guesthouse is lovely and if you are lucky you may see the mount Fuji from all the clouds. The walk to the lake is nice, through some small streets and plantations. It is quite remote in the sense that often you have to take a train, bus and a taxi to get to the guesthouse. So plan for the long travel. There was no pick-up service offered and when leaving we got a ride because another family had a baby with them, but then it had to be on their schedule. ”

”Great place, pillows were hard as a rock, didn’t get any sleep.”

”The service was top tier and the staff made our stay absolutely amazing. We would highly recommend and would return in the future.”

”This was my 2nd time staying here after I adopted the woman who runs the hotel and the shop as my Japan oba last year, I remembered she loves hydrangeas so I stopped in Kamakura at Hasedera to get her a gift before seeing her because her birthday is in June. She's a very sweet and kind woman who doesn't speak English but is totally fine having conversations with translation apps. The property itself is in a great location right across from Mt. Fuji Station so it's easy to get to by bus or train...

”Both of us visiting this ryokan was quite disappointed in this place. This place was our last visit on our two week trip in Japan and it came as a surprise that quality could suddenly drop this much. But I have not visited any Ryokan before and cannot comment if this is normal. Positive comments: +Low price (~130€) +Location was good to start Hakone round trip +There was possibility to attend several other Ryokans for different bathing experience (did not go to them and do not know if they...

”It has at a good location and quiet place. It’s a private house for our group. Free drinks, snacks and laundry. Definitely recommend to our friends.”
