Dear Dan, thank you for your impressions, but some clarifications are needed, as we have never received similar critics. Corteforte is a winery that provides hospitality as Agriturismo. The experience of staying in a winery is to be able to experience everyday life and the activities among which, obviously, the harvest is the most important one. During the period of your visit it was - as it is still today - the harvest. In our staff we have a person dedicated exclusively to welcome our guests but, as you were told upon arrival, there was a blackout of the electrical system and that did not allow us to proceed with guests’ check-in. In any case, the waiting has not exceeded 10 minutes. Our reception and tasting room always receive appreciation, they are our strength and are often photographed to preserve the memory. We do not understand how you might have smelled chemicals product and glue (where would they come from?), as at the same time of your visit, we had a tasting for six more visitors who come back every year and they were fully satisfied. As all the other times, they have played with the dog, who they know well, and nobody has been bitten. For us it is very important our wines to be tasted, in fact this activity has allowed us in the 30 years of history of our winery to become known and to consider many guests as friends. We remember that you have been given the attention we give to all visitors. The garden is private and not accessible for guests. It can only be admired by our venue and by the overlying Enoteca and is highly appreciated by all customers.Finally, it is not clear why, if you have found what you have complained about, in particular regarding the room, you did not report anything to us on spot. As for bike rental, our activity is limited to book it (on request, as it was not in your case) at a local agency. B.R.
