Encarnação Funchal, a Home in Madeira

Encarnação Funchal is an apartment for two to four guests, in an area with little traffic a short walk from the historic centre — good for both a family holiday and a few days of remote work and relaxation.

The apartment has an area of 92 m², is located on the 6th floor of a residential building and has a small balcony and free private parking.

It comprises two bedrooms, one with a queen-size double bed (160 × 200 cm) and the other with two single beds (90 × 200 cm). It also has a living room with dining table and work desk, kitchen, laundry room and bathroom with shower.

It also includes a refrigerator, a dishwasher, a washer-dryer, an induction hob, an oven, a microwave and other utensils, as well as bed linen, towels, air conditioning in the living room and in one bedroom, an electric heater, ceiling fans, Wi-Fi (1 Gbps), a smart TV (4K, 65 inches) with international channels and Netflix, and other amenities for a pleasant and relaxing stay.



📍 NEIGHBOURHOOD

The apartment is in a residential area, quiet at night, close to the city's main places of interest, which you can explore on foot.

It is 5 minutes' walk from Praça do Município and 10 to 15 minutes from the Old Town (historic centre) and Funchal Marina. On the ground floor of the building there is a small café with a pastry shop and a local bakery, where you can buy warm bread. Nearby there are cafés, restaurants, bars, supermarkets, grocery stores, greengrocers, wine lodges, shops, museums, pharmacies and clinics.

A car is not necessary: there is a bus stop 3 minutes' walk away. By car, there is easy access to Funchal's main roads and the expressway to discover the island.



⚠️ PLEASE NOTE

The parking space is suitable for smaller cars (up to 4 m in length). For longer vehicles, it may be difficult to manoeuvre when parking.

There is city traffic noise, mainly during the day, but the windows have good acoustic insulation and traffic is reduced at night.

Weekly maintenance cleaning, including a change of bed linen and towels.

We strongly recommend that guests purchase travel insurance covering cancellations or other unforeseen circumstances that may prevent their stay.

If you have special needs or allergies, please contact us before booking so we can confirm whether we are able to accommodate them.

Due to the island's location and climate, the presence of insects is natural, and they may be attracted by food scraps. We kindly ask that you keep surfaces clean and food properly stored.

For those sensitive to mosquito bites, we recommend using repellent when getting around the island.

An online pre-check-in form will be sent to collect the identification details required by law.

In-person check-in is by prior appointment. We will wait up to 60 minutes after the scheduled time; beyond that, it may be necessary to arrange a new time.

So that we can resolve any issue promptly, we ask that you report any faults or cleaning shortcomings immediately. Reports made after check-out may no longer be verified or resolved.
