This stunning ground-floor apartment is part of the Villa Cristal, a modern villa set in large gardens, on the edge of Galatina. Boutique Apartment Pool&Padel sleeps 4 people and makes a great holiday home-from-home for friends or family who want an active holiday as well as somewhere to relax in peace.

The apartment has an open-plan kitchen/diner with a dining table, flat-screen TV and a new, fitted kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with an induction hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and Moka coffee maker. French windows lead out to the private terrace, overlooking the gardens. Here guests can enjoy snacks al fresco at the café-style table.

Steps from the terrace lead down to the villa’s extensive fenced gardens include a large swimming pool surrounded by sun loungers for guests to relax after a refreshing swim, as well as the paddle court for family fun. Next to the swimming pool is a covered dining area where everyone can get together for relaxed meals. There is a separate building that houses a full kitchen, ideal for catering by the pool.

The separate bathroom is appointed with a glass shower, basin, bidet and WC.

Location
The villa is on the outskirts of the historic town of Galatina, which is a hidden gem. Like Lecce (30 minutes away) Galatina has a beautifully preserved Baroque town centre, with lovely churches and palaces. It is a beautiful place, where you can lose yourself for a few hours, exploring its restaurants, bars and boutiques. The town is famous as the birthplace of the delicious Puglian dessert of Pasticciotto. For more excellent local food, the weekly market takes place every Thursday morning and is well worth a visit.

In the centre of the Salento peninsula, the villa is 30 minutes from either coast. The sandy beach of Santa Catarina al Bagno (28 minutes) makes a wonderful day out. The port of Gallipoli (the Beautiful City), which was founded by Greek settlers thousands of years ago, is just 30 minutes away. Here you will find fascinating historical sites, ancient city walls and some of the best fish in Salento.

The city of Lecce, the “Florence of the South”, is famous for its wonderful Baroque architecture as well as its Roman ruins. It is a jewel of a city and well worth a visit. Not only for its long history but also for its excellent food and good shopping.

The closest airport is at Brindisi - just 1 hour away by car.
