ABOUT LA ROMANTICA
A stunning apartment with amazingviews of the Florentine countryside between Gambassi Terme and Montaione. This property is ideal for those looking for a truly relaxing get away but not renouncing to all the comforts that a top resort can give, starting from the superb infinity pool with stunning panoramic views.
The apartment is situated within a lovingly restored hamlet overlooking the timeless rolling landscapes of Tuscany and the ancient city of Volterra in the background.
The property is on two levels, offering over 90 square of indoor space, a generous sized and panoramic covered terrace, and lovely private garden,
The South facing unit avails of beautiful natural light, and the interiors are characterized by exposed terracotta ceilings and chestnut beams, shuttered windows with screens, restored chestnut doors and terracotta tile floors.
Access to the apartment is granted via the private terrace at ground level, with entrance directly into the living room with fireplace, sofa and armchair, with beautiful artists painting on the walls. To the left a set of terracotta tiled stairs brings you down to the fully fitted kitchen/dining room, with large arched French windows opening onto the private covered terrace, the garden, and the beautiful views, where nothing else but nature is in front of you.
The large country kitchen comes with gas hob, oven, fridge, freezer, dish washer, and is fully fitted with all needed to prepare lovely meals. A round table for 4 complete this area, a table that can be easily brought onto the covered terrace for outdoor dining. In a small hideaway storage room underneath the stairs is the washing machine.
Back up to the living room, a hallway leads to the master double bedroom En-suite, a generous size bedroom with bathroom with both shower and bath tub, double sinks. Off from the same hallways is the access to the second double bedroom, with two single beds can can be joint together as a double bed,with its own bathroom with shower. Both rooms with wardrobe and bed side tables.
In the living room there is also a wardrobe for further storage.
The spacious private terrace that includes an outdoor soft sofa and chairs, is ideal for relaxing outdoor while watching the sunrise at breakfast or the sunset after dinner, or to shade form the sunshine while enjoying your favorite book!
You can move from one floor to the next using either the internal staircase, or also the external staircase which leads from the ground floor entrance to the lower ground floor where the garden and the terrace are located.
The property comes with cooling/heating system in every room, satellite TV and unlimited wi-fi, outdoor lounge set, bed and bathroom linen, fully fitted kitchen with cooking utensils, pans, dishes andcrockery.One detail of the property: we do not believe in TV while experiencing this incredible natural settings, however, please bring your laptop/mobile devices along as with the super fast internet connection we provide, you and your family can watch any movies/shows on your preferred network!
The living spaces were very well planned out to give maximum comfort and ease of use, while the outdoors were planned and nurtured to ensure the most relaxing and enjoyable time!
ABOUT THE RESORT
Welcome to Mommialla - a small borgo founded around 970 on a south-facing slope along the ancient road between Voltera and Gambassi Terme. The village was reconstructed according to Italian historical guidelines and completed in 2012. Brought back to life from ruins, it stands today as it was over 1100 years ago, rebuilt with quality and modern conveniences.
Mommialla consists of 4 buildings, 15 individual apartments, a large beautiful shared infinity pool and over 70 private hectares of olive groves, meadows, and open forest to explore and enjoy. The overall environment is one of spectacular views, quiet relaxation, and natural beauty.
A beautiful, outdoor, shared, infinity swimming pool with incredible views is a short walk from the apartment. There are umbrellas and chairs dedicated to each apartment for relaxing around the pool area. The pool provides a perfect respite after a day of sightseeing and for a refreshing swim, and there you will have your appointed private area reserved for your entire stay.
Mommialla is easily accessed via a 3 km well-maintained unpaved road. There is a private parking area and the apartment has a dedicated spot for our guest’s exclusive use.
Nearby you will find fresh local farm-to-table foods, grocery stores, many fine restaurants, classic wineries, golf, thermal baths, hiking, biking, and, of course, the many ancient and beautiful cities of Tuscany.

Compulsory extra charges on site:
- Final cleaning €120,00 per stay
- Heating and A/C: €70,00 per week
- Deposit against damages: € 250,00
Duration of stay: minimum stay is 7 nights.
Changeover day: Any day arrival in High season. Saturday arrival in Peak season.
Check-in: From 3:00 pm. to 6pm.
Check-out: By 10:00 am.
