”The room wasn’t clean, the headboard on the bed was worn and ripped, underneath the bed was filthy and full of hairs, a previous guests glasses were left in the room, a small used soap bar used unhygienic and not enough for 2 guests, other items were also not replenished, despite having a previous stay at this hotel which was good this one did not live up to the previous standard and the member of staff on reception was also quite rude”

”The staff at all levels were helpful & friendly. They resolved my late arrival without an issue & provided an excellent breakfast in the morning. It is a pity that the bar closes at 22:00 but that is my only concern.”

”We were very well looked after by Shaan & Sef who must be the one prepared our breakfast which was freshly made and ample every morning . The room was clean and spacious enough for us & our dog Rocky. Tumbleweed is a good place to stay for a few days to visit the local attractions, such as Sherwood Forest, nearby. It is a heaven for dog owners and joggers. I jogged with my dog along the Well Lane & The Avenue every morning and walked my dog on the couple of bridal ways nearby in the evening....

”We paid a premium price for a very standard room. Double bed with hard pillows. Very dated in the decor and furnishings. I was disappointed with the whole experience. Set menu for the evening was very pricy and was underwhelming. Breakfast was what saved the day, nice ingredients, great selection. Staff were friendly.”

”Staff: Welcoming, friendly, helpful, efficient and willing to go the extra mile. Executive Rooms 367 & 369: spotlessly clean and comfortable - good bed and choice of pillows but room a bit faded and dated - needs a bigger TV as distance from bed is too far for comfortable viewing. Lift out of action - not helpful - Best Western need to sort this pronto Spa & Pool: closed for refurb - needs sorting. Breakfast and Bar meals....good.”

”3rd time I've stayed. Very handy for Blyton Park. Room and pub/restaurant very enjoyable place to be. Be careful that meals are booked and confirmed the day before. Check restaurant times carefully. Pub does close very early on a Sunday.”

”The Receptionist struggled to find our booking and then charged us again for the stay, even though we had already paid. We had to request a refund. A customer had to show us where the car park was as the receptionist appeared confused at this request. After paying for parking there wasn’t a space for us to park our car on the first night.
