”If you are traveling through make sure you know the latest you can check in is 10 pm and the earliest you can check out is 7 am. I did not realize when I made reservations that our schedule would need to be constricted. We were on a 5 hour drive from Homer and really had to rush to make our check in at 9:50 pm. A couple construction areas with stopped traffic for over 10 minutes each added some excitement to our vacation. Being from the central time zone made the 7 am checkout feel late...

”We had to fly out of Anchorage the next day, but the last thing we wanted to do was end a wonderful Alaskan vacation in the middle of the city, so we stayed at Pioneer Ridge B&B and it was extraordinary. Setting and view were spectacular. Lots of eye candy all over the lodge, Our room was beautiful and very comfortable and the lemon blueberry pancakes in the morning are to die for. Thoroughly recommend this peaceful, beautiful stay.”

”If you are looking for a cozy and comfortable cabin to enjoy views and nature with modern conveniences this is the spot! You can enjoy coffee and a book on the patio in the morning, go for a hike in the afternoon, and then relax in the hot tub in the evening. The only downside is that the cabin uses well water, so it is a bit sulfur smelling, though that is expected for a more off the beaten path spot. I highly recommend this to anyone wanting a more quiet and serene experience!”

”Best Western Lake Lucille is a very lovely property. The staff were all very friendly with dining tips, activity ideas and snacks. The hot breakfast was great and sent us off for the day with treats for snacking. Our lake view room was standard in size but had a beautiful view of the lake and freshly manicured property. ”I think the property was friendly to pets. It had a lot of room in the front & back yard, along with a lot of space in the living room & kitchen. The bed is big, so your pet could definitely sleep with you on it or they could go into the guest bedroom too. There is a massage chair that was definitely relaxing & the place was clean”
