âWe received the warmest of welcomes from Jim, the proprietor. He was so lovely, funny and kind. Although the Shenandoah is a period house, it is right up to date, the decor and furniture looked new. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was excellent, there was probably something to suit everyone. Iâm a bit of a Nespresso addict and usually take a machine with me when I travel, I didnât this trip but was delighted when I found a Nespresso machine in the breakfast room.

âWe stayed here for just one night whilst we were visiting friends in Herne Bay and we will stay again! It was so convenient, there was parking around the back, and the hosts were lovely. We stayed in Room 3 which was massive! It had a little lounge area, a lovely bathroom and the bedroom area was big as well with plenty of room to get ready. There was also a fan in the room which was appreciated! Breakfast was lovely and the choice was really good. We canât recommend this place enough. â
