The beautiful house overlooks the mountain and the lake. It is right next to the natural reserve, which makes for a great place to explore. There are hiking trails, nature trails, picnic spots, of course, the Baroque monumental complex of Sacro Monte and a meeting place where fairs and markets are organised. There are plenty of restaurants around the house. However, for shopping and buying supplies, guests need to drive about 10 minutes. A mere 10-15-minute ride by car would take the guests to Lake Maggiore waterfront, where they can enjoy beach fun. For those looking to get out and explore Lake Maggiore for the day, the car-passenger ferry stop in Intra is a 14-minute drive away.

Nearby Verbania and the botanical gardens of Villa Taranto offer plenty to see and do (14 minutes’ drive). The food markets, annual music festivals and scenic Borromean island boat trips in Stresa can be enjoyed 33 minutes’ drive away.
