”Grandhotel Giessbach is one of a kind hotel, we really enjoyed historical and authentic athmosphere in the hotel. The service was very good and views, nature, details and beautifully restored building with art and historical stories make this hotel unforgettable.”

”Lovely simple hotel a bit off Brienz. There’s a bus connection to Brienz, but I’d recommend a car. It was nicely situated about a 40 min drive to Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald. Mostly very quiet and everything was clean and simple. If you happen to have noisy neighbours, then it might be a bit uncomfy, but that’s really not the hotel’s fault.
The room doesn’t have an aircon, but it did get a bit more chilly at night if we kept the door open.”
”The bedroom and the hotel was so clean and fresh. The view of the Eiger from our bedroom was amazing and I never tired of seeing it. Staff were friendly but not intrusive. The hotel had a calm feel. Located slightly outside the town meant that it was a peaceful setting while still being close enough to facilities. I would certainty book to stay at Grindellodge again in I was holidaying in the area. ”

”I’m very impressed and satisfied with my stay . The hotel is less than 5 minutes walk from the train station. The decorations and design is so vintage and I remembered some of the old pots and pans and iron displayed all over the lobby . The front desk staff were helpful and always smiling . The room was so cozy and clean . I had the beautiful view of the mountain and water . The breakfast buffet was awesome and delicious ! The servers were all accommodating , friendly , smiling , courteous....

”What a great place! Lungern is a nice, quiet town with a beautiful lake. Emma’s B&B is up on the hillside by the train station. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was brilliant and had a range of options. Would definitely recommend.”
