Nice hotel
We booked luxury room with terrace. The room didn't amaze me but the location is very good. Hotel has private beach wich is perfect for relaxing and sunset. There were live music every evning. Pool was also nice. You can hire bike for 75 000/ Day and TaKe snorkling class. Food was ok.

Nice big hotel but could need some improvements
-could clean better, there we some icky staff at the wall in shower -gold water in shower of you turn on same time the bathroom tap -soooo slippery floor after shower (be careful) -not enought wall plugs -bad internet connection at room -only one towel per customer on hotel room and floor towel. Im used to that there is body towel and hand towel. -pool area board floor was really bad shape. Nails were up. So becareful you dont hit your feets. -food, drinks, massage, bicycles, trips were little bit expensive here maybe because this is "better" hotel (honeymooners come here) +pool is big and there is bar +fridge, big bed, hairdryer, shampoo, toothbrush, tv, balcony, friendly staff +beach across the street, you can go see the sunset, there were live music and normally movies Went the restaurant across the street (sea wind bar) the staff there wasn't so helpful, nobody didn't pay attention of us until we sat down. The food is average and expensive. Reception there were world watches. London and france time were wrong.

Great hotel!
Indeed a very nice hotel. We stayed there seven nights and it could not have been much better. We got a free upgrade and as we were long staying quests, they provided us a free dinner with eight courses on one night. The atmosphere in the hotel is very friendly and super polite. The staff speak generally very good english and is super helpful. The hotel is on the sunset side of the island, so the view is great and you are away from the loud music of the other side. Absolutelty recommendable!

Nice sunsets but surprisingly bad reastaurants
Good, quiet location on the "other" side of the island. Nice, big pool and amazing sunsets. Great rooms with plenty of space. But, very expensive bicycle rental, awful restaurants (far better food on the other side of the island), expensive massage etc. Good place if you want to be completely isolated from any action, for us, 3 nights were enough.

Simply amazing!
This hotel is amazing! Location is perfect if you like to be on a calm side of the Gili island with no crowded beaches. You can still reach "city" by bike in 15 minutes. There's a lot of space in bungalows and shower & toilet is half outside, just amazing! You can take shower basically in jungle but still safe ;) Service is excellent and staff is super friendly. Me and my boyfriend enjoyed so much that we wanted to extend our stay with 2 nights. I can definitely recommend this amazing hotel!

Rauhallinen hotelli rauhallisella sijainnilla
Hotelli ombak sunset sijaitsi n. 20 minuutin hevosajelun päässä Trawangan keskustan tohinasta. Koska omana tarkoituksenani oli rentoutua, sijainti oli mitä mainioin. Välillä olisi toki ollut mukavaa vaihtaa ravintolaa, sillä oman hotellin ravintola oli tavallista kalliimpi ja välillä myös todella hidas. Onneksi välipalatarjoilut altaille sujuivat nopeasti. Hotellissa oli spa ja vesiurheilukeskus, jotka olivat erittäin kalliita. Oma huoneemme sijaitsi hotellialueen kauimmassa nurkassa, minkä takia huoneessa ei niin vain päivän aikana käytykään. Allasalue oli mukava, samoin ranta-alue (toki laskuveden aikaan meri itsessään ei ollut kovin houkuttelevan näköinen).

The property was great. Good food , helpful staff. Front desk service was excellent. At the spa they advertised chin and lip wax for $10 but the lady charged me $20. Although it was only $10 it seemed deceitful. The island itself has so many people you couldn’t ride your push bike down the road. Just too overcrowded in the street and at the port for me to ever return

Hotel not as shown in photos at all. Buildings missing and run down. Had to move hotel after one night due to how bad the property was. Bed sheets had holes in them and sun loungers had stains.

Nice place for the money
It was nice however it wasn't the cleanest of rooms. We had a Lizard friends that joined us in the room and there some bugs. Sunsets were beautiful, and it was a hike to the busy area of the island. We asked for bikes but they didn't have any. There was hot water and an outdoor shower which was nice better and better than other places we stayed on the island.

Grundsätzlich handelt es sich um eine eigentlich sehr tolle Unterkunft mit luxuriöser Aufmachung, guter (ruhiger) Lage und toller Aussicht! Die Bungalows werden vom Personal sehr sauber gehalten und liebevoll jeden Tag wieder aufs Neue aufgefrischt und dekoriert. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt! Einziges Manko ist, dass die Außenanlage wieder einer Renovierung Bedarf bzw. mehr gepflegt werden müsste so wie das Partnerhotel Villa Ombak.

Paradise at Ombak Sunset
We arrived to a very warm welcome. The beautiful hotel had suffered badly in 2019 with the earthquake and they have done amazingly well to get it back to its former glory. The staff are warm and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We had five days here and wished we could have stayed another five. The hotel is situated in a prime position to see the sunset. The pool is as warm as a bath and such a leisurely vibe about. The gardeners work very hard to make sure the place looks like the tropical paradise it is. We stayed in the garden bungalows which are amazing like being in your own private Balinese house. The outside bathroom is lovely but as we are there in the rainy season of course there are many mozzies. The hotel sprays regularly and provides insect repellents and plug in . Breakfast was varied but would have preferred to be able to make my own tea as I found it too weak and tasteless. I had my own tea bags but no hot water I suppose I could have asked but really boiling water is necessary and it wouldn’t have been boiling if they had to bring it to me.

I stayed at this hotel on a recommendation from a few years ago and sadly the hotel facilities were not as I had hoped. While I can see that the location has a lot of unrealised potential, the price to stay here was not reflective of the current state of the hotel. We were very disappointed that there was no restaurant on site and the bar was only open by the pool. Since there was little to do around the hotel, we rented bikes from the hotel to get to the other side of the island where all the restaurants, scuba diving and snorkelling tours leave from. The "road" is in very rough shape, filled with potholes and is shared by bikes, pedestrians and horse buggies, and it is not lit should you brave riding your bike at night like we did! All in all it was quite the experience on Gili T!

I like the atmosphere and the hotel design which is so comfortable and luxury but the location is a bit too far from the island center also there is a lot of mosquito especially in the opened roof bathroom style so they should have some mechanic to prevent the mosquito and other insects. The staffs were very nice and helpful.

It's not worth it
The hotel is nice, the beach is not private as mentioned in Hotels.com. It was full of people from outside the hotel and many people selling things and offering pictures and excursions. Not the best experience when you want to just relax on the beach. Breakfast is really bad and the service also. Please see the picture of a dead mosquito in the cheese during breakfast.

We had a great experience. Staff was really nice and friendly. I really appreciate a little birthday cake that I received after I mentioned to one of the staff members. I think it was really thoughtful and lovely gesture. Also, the cleaning team are lovely people, taking care of details to make you feel comfortable and welcome.

Do not stay here. The staff was very inattentive to any of our needs. The resort itself is overrated and overpriced. It is far away from the central area. Arriving there we expected to be attended to, but ended up having to do things our selves such as fetching pool towels. The staff weren’t very friendly nor welcoming. The room itself is in dire need of renovation. The closet doors and cabinets were falling apart. The beach itself was disappointing. There was coral everywhere and the only reason the resort is popular is due to the beach swings which are open to the public. Overall, please save your money and stay at another resort.

Beautiful hotel but be mindful of coral
The hotel has an amazing pool and the views are breathtaking, we got a very spacious private bungalow which was very comfy but had an outdoor toilet and shower which was cool during the day but a little scary at night! The beach is stunning but it all coral so be careful with your feet and you can’t swim in it. Quieter side of the island so nice and romantic

Did not realize this hotel was waaaayyyy on the other side of the island from where your boat launches. It’s a quiet side and nice sunsets but pretty far from the main drag and activities and difficult to get a horse ride past 9pm. Definitely too dark to walk or ride a bike. Nice pool and staff are VERY friendly and accommodating. Had a two room villa and the rooms were clean but personal pool was very dirty and had to ask to have it cleaned which did not occur until the second of our three day trip. A lot of construction going on, walls are VERY thin and while the room were clean they are poorly constructed, sink and toilet not glued down, poor water pressure, AC was not very functional but worked better after we closed off one room. I would def go back to the Gil Islands but think I can get more for the $$ i spent elsewhere
