”An awesome unique and lovely place to stay. The food, service and room were great. Lots of history and busy which understandably makes it a huge task trying to keep up with the cleaning of the walkways and stairs. An awesome experience so thanks to all x”

”Clean room but very dated Bed extremely uncomfortable Didn't sleep a wink due to bed and street lights outside of the bedroom Breakfast looked good but didnt eat it due to flies in the restaurant”

”Friendly staff, room was value for money. A little disappointed that the restaurant was only serving same food as bar, especially as booked for a birthday. Bar staff very customer orientated and super friendly, made as fuss of hubby for his birthday.”

”We stayed for one night as a stopover on the way North and were very happy that we picked this Inn. The room was quite basic but perfectly adequate for our needs and in line with the price point. We had an evening meal in the bar area which was very good with generous portions and we were served by a lovely young lady who was very friendly and helpful. The cooked breakfast was nothing short of excellent with good quality ingredients, perfectly prepared.”

”The hotel was out in the countryside with excellent views over the moors. It was very clean and well cared for. Car parking was good. The room size, bed size, etc was great. One small problem - the room lighting was not very bright during the night time. The food was excellent and the staff were great. It was also a great place for walkers with great access to the countryside. I would recommend it.”

”Avoid a room above the bar because of the noise. I think it must get its 3 star rating from the rooms in the new areas. The food was very mediocre. For food I would recommend The Fox Hole which is around a 5 minute walk. The setting saved my stay because it was lovely to sit by the river. The staff were very nice.”
