Tätä entistä vartijataloa, joka on rakennettu vuonna 1890, voidaan kuvata "aikaohjattuksi" mökiksi. Vuonna 2015 uudenaikaistettuna kiinnitettiin huomiota perinteisten ovien, alkuperäisen jyrkien portaikkojen ja kiviseinien säilyttämiseen yksityiskohtiin huomioiden. Alkuperäinen kerros ensimmäisessä kerroksessa kertoo rautatomökin lähes 130 vuotta vanhasta historiasta. Jopa moderni pitää sen, mitä vanhat hyvät ajat lupaavat: Kaikki huoneet ovat nykyaikaisia, ja niissä on tunne antiikkia, kansainvälistä taidetta ja nykyaikaista muotoilua.

Huomaa, että mökki ei sovellu alle 12-vuotiaille lapsille.

Meillä on pieni "herkkulaukku", johon on kiinnitetty joitain paikallisia huomioita, jotta sinut tunteisiin alueesi paremmin ja jotta vierailustasi tulisi mahdollisimman miellyttävää.

Glenbeigh Railway Cottage kätkeytyy idyllisellä tavalla pieneen metsään Curra-vuoren juurella ja tarjoaa henkeäsalpaavat näkymät Coolroe-vuorelle ja Behy-joen laaksoon.

Maalaistyylisessä keittiössä on kaikki modernit varusteet, kuten AGA-kaasu-uuni, astianpesukone, jääkaappi ja pakastin, mikroaaltouuni, vedenkeitin, leivänpaahdin ja kahvinkeitin.
Viihtyisä olohuone on varustettu 4K Smart TV: llä, X-Box OneS: llä, hifi-Bluetooth-laitteella ja valikoimalla CD-, DVD- ja pelejä. Ensimmäisessä kerroksessa olevassa pienessä studiossa on tietokoneella varustettu työpöytä, josta on suora näkymä laaksoon.
Koko talossa on langaton ja nopea internetyhteys.

Ensimmäisen kerroksen ylellisessä marmorikylpyhuoneessa on helposti saavutettavissa oleva suuri suihku ja pohjakerroksessa vieras-wc, jossa pesukone ja kuivausrumpu.

Koko talo on kaasu keskuslämmitys. Mökkityyliset puuhella löytyvät sekä olohuoneesta että keittiöstä
 
Glenbeigh Wild Wild Way -kadulla on vain 2-3 minuutin ajomatkan tai lyhyen 10-15 minuutin kävelymatkan päässä.

50 km: n säteellä on huomattava valikoima legendaarisen Kerry-renkaan kuuluisia nähtävyyksiä. Suosittelemme matkaa Skellig-renkaan yli Portemageesta länteen ja vierailua upeisiin Kerry-kallioille näkymästä Skellig-saarille. Suosittelemme myös vierailua Kells Bayn subtrooppiseen puutarhaan, joka on vain 10 minuutin päässä, uskomattomien saniaispuidensa kanssa.
Retkeilyharrastajille viehättävä Kerry Way johtaa suoraan kiinteistön ohi. Behy-joki, vain kivenheiton päässä, tarjoaa ihanteelliset olosuhteet kalastajille ja perhokalastajille (saatavilla on valikoima kumisaappaita).
Rossbeighin ranta on vain 3-4 minuutin ajomatkan päässä ja tarjoaa loputtomia hiekkarantoja ja dyynit sekä urheiluaktiviteetteja, kuten ratsastusta, melontaa, surffausta tai "stand-up meloa". Naapurimaiden Cromane-rannalta löydät pienen golfkivun, Dooks-golfkerhon, Irlannin vanhimman "Links" -golfkentän.

Kerryn lentokenttä Farranforessa on 40 minuutin ajomatkan päässä. Killorgliniin pääsee 12, Killarneyyn 25 minuutissa. Suosittu Dingle on 50 minuutin päässä

Glenbeighin ja Killorglinin kaupungit tarjoavat erilaisia viehättäviä pubeja ja erinomaisia ravintoloita. Lähialueelta löytyy myös valikoima supermarketteja (Centra, Aldi, Lidl, Spar, Supervalue jne.).

Peaceful comfort in gorgeous setting!

This is my second time at the Railway cottage - I’ve been wanting to come back since I was last here and so glad I did. I needed a week of countryside beauty and this place never disappoints. As usual the cottage is impeccably maintained by our hosts Frank and Markus with the help of Gretta who was, as usual, incredibly helpful. If you like to cook you’ll be IPressed with everything available to you while there, all located in the lovely country kitchen with the most amazing views. The beds are comfortable and an evening by the fire after a long day out is perfection The pasture over the lane drops down and is usually filled with sheep to bleat you awake in the morning. Its location in the Wild Atlantic Way makes it a great base for day trips out. I’ll be back again!!

Incredibly scenic and cozy!

We loved the character and authenticity of the cottage and the surroundings are breathtaking. We went to Rossbeigh Beach daily for morning walks and occasionally to watch the sunset. My husband swam in the cold water once or twice a day. We were at the cottage for over two weeks and loved every minute of it. Glenbeigh is wonderful and we ate often at a local pub and cooked at the cottage the other nights. We hope to come back some day!

Das Ferienhaus ist wunderbar komfortabel eingerichtet und hat alles was man für einen Urlaub am Ring of Kerry braucht. Besonders hat uns die sehr gut ausgestattet Küche und das gemütliche Wohnzimmer gefallen. Von dem Cottage aus kann man Ausflüge aller Art in die Berge und ans Meer machen. Können zu 100% einen Urlaub in diesem Haus und der Region empfehlen.

Urlaub der keine Wünsche offen ließ

Unser Aufenthalt im wunderschönen Railway-Cottage war unvergesslich! Bereits bei unserer Ankunft waren wir beeindruckt von der idyllischen Lage etwas außerhalb der Kleinstadt Glenbeigh, die mit ihren Speise- und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten dennoch fußläufig innerhalb von 20 Minuten (5min Autoweg) erreichbar war. Das Cottage selbst ließ keine Wünsche offen. Es war voll ausgestattet mit allem, was man für einen komfortablen Aufenthalt benötigt. Die Küche verfügte über moderne Geräte und ausreichend Geschirr, sodass wir problemlos unsere Mahlzeiten zubereiten konnten. Besonders begeistert hat uns die liebevolle und stilvolle Einrichtung des Hauses. Jedes Detail schien sorgfältig ausgewählt und trug zu einer warmen und einladenden Atmosphäre bei. Die Zimmer waren nicht nur sauber und gepflegt, sondern strahlten auch eine Gemütlichkeit aus, die uns sofort heimisch fühlen ließ. Ein weiterer Pluspunkt war die hervorragende Kommunikation. Unsere Ansprechpartnerin vor Ort war extrem freundlich und jederzeit erreichbar. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Anja und Familie

Our memorable week in Kerry started at the Railway Cottage

We spent a memorable week in Kerry staying at this beautiful cottage in Glenbeigh. I can't imagine a more perfect location to enjoy the many amazing sights and experiences Kerry has to offer. It really felt like home, or dare I say better as it was very hard to leave. We enjoyed our morning coffee out in the garden in the peace and quiet and the kitchen had every dish and utensil necessary to make any meal. The entire house was beautifully decorated and offered every comfort, the beds were the best we experienced. Our hosts were quick to respond to any question and Gretta was a treasure beyond measure - kind, welcoming, responsive, offered many great suggestions on places to go and even got us a reservation at a restaurant when we couldn't. I would highly recommend this cottage and we hope to return again. Thank you

Absolutely wonderful

Best VRBO property we have ever stayed at! The home is so comfortable and was perfect for us traveling with our young adult son It’s so peaceful to wake up to the sounds of the lambs baaing each morning. Glenbeigh has only a few restaurants and a couple pubs but Killorghin is only a short drive with some very good restaurants. Dooks Golf Links are special and there is excellent hiking in the area. I hope to return and stay longer

Perfection!

Do not hesitate from booking this amazing and beautiful cottage. It gave my family a perfect location to explore southern Ireland from while also being a homey and comfortable place we never wanted to leave. It has literally ruined us as we know we will never be able to find another rental to compare. We were absolutely smitten, and you will be too! Gorgeous kitchen, views, landscaping, comfy and modern beds and bathrooms, along with oodles of unique character and loads and loads of charm. The owner was easy to reach if needed, and the contact in Ireland was attentive and so helpful. What a very special place, and we are already trying to figure out how and when we can return to this little slice of heaven on Earth!

Exceptional

We have been staying in Vrbo properties since November 2022 and this is now one of our top favorites! The WiFi was great (102 Mbps upload speeds was off-the-charts good), the beds comfortable, the shower excellent, the kitchen spacious and well equipped, and the lounge roomy and comfortable. The upstairs office nook, with its gorgeous views, was inspiring. The area was very quiet with peaceful views of lambs, a creek, and lush green rolling hills. The owners' pride shows throughout and we would happily return again!

A wonderful place of peace and beauty

Beautiful Cottage!

The cottage was gorgeous and well appointed with beautiful furnishings and art. The kitchen was a chef’s delight with everything one might need for creating a perfect meal. The bathroom was spotlessly clean with grey marble tiled walls and an stunning shower. The fireplaces in both the kitchen and living area were perfect to warm ourselves up on the chilly nights. Our stay at the cottage could not have been better. It is simply stunning.

Lovely cottage in county Kerry

Had a lovely time staying at the railway cottage. Clean and cozy with everything you’d need and a few sheep as well. Just be careful on the stairs!

Amazing!!

The Railway Cottage was absolutely amazing. The quality of everything was top notch. Close to town, the beach, Ring of Kerry. Gretta was amazing. Beautiful walking trails! Full of energy and information. Would love to come and stay again!! 5/5 for sure!!

Idyllic Railway Cottage in Glenbeigh

The Railway Cottage in Glenbeigh surpassed all expectations for our summer vacation. This charming property is situated in an idyllic location, is decorated to an exceptional standard and is very well equipped and is more like a home!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the property owner and local representative were extremely helpful. Delighted with this property and with Glenbeigh situated on the wonderful Ring of Kerry- great choice for a holiday vacation.

Anniversary trip

We had initially reserved this property back in 2020, but then Covid happened. We rebooked for 2022. Communication with Frank was great throughout the process. Gretta was easy to get in touch with if we had any questions. The cottage was lovely. The view spectacular! Everything described on the listing was accurate. It was in a great location and we loved our "neighbors". The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had all the equipment we needed. Thank you Frank and Markus for opening up your cottage to others. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!

Cottage is as close to perfect as a rental can be

Location is beautiful and close to anything you could want to do in Kerry Co. Cottage is well appointed, comfortable, and has unexpected thoughtful extras that make it a special place to stay. Our family had a wonderful and relaxing stay, and we would love to return someday.

A perfect vacation home

The only problem I had with the railway cottage was getting my sister to leave. It’s a beautiful location, comfortable, and well-supplied. Greta was very helpful with suggestions for places to visit, though we also enjoyed just sitting outside watching the scenery and listening to the sheep. Pictures are very accurate
