”My family and I loved this cozy cottage. It is so well designed we loved our stay and it was so comfortable. Mindfully stocked with all the things we needed to settle right in. The beautiful large windows allowed us to rest our eyes on the beautiful peaceful Iceland landscape. It's so meditative and inspiring...we found ourselves just staring outside for periods of time.. getting lost in it. We loved our visits with the sheep too! We look forward to visitng again!”

”We absolutely LOVED this cottage. Definitely our favorite of all the places we stayed in Iceland. The house was cosy and clean. The location was beautiful and we even came home one day to sheep in the front yard :). Can't recommend it enough.”

”We had an excellent stay at Skalakot and wished we could have stayed longer. The property is so beautiful and our room was very spacious. We also really enjoyed the fireplace lounge after dinner. The spa was worth the extra fee and a very relaxing experience. Dinner was so delicious and relaxing as well. We were part of a larger group and that didn’t impact the quality of our meal. Our breakfast was also delicious and the staff even accommodated an early departure with to go boxes and coffee....

”A rather unique lodging experience with the serenity of its remote location in contrast to its super convenient proximity to Seljalandsfoss and the Landeyjahöfn ferry terminal. A strategic location! The hotel was clinically clean and modern with nice amenities. The breakfast buffet was fabulous. Check in and out was seamless. The hotel gets an A rating from us. Highly recommended!”

”Super beautiful wooden building! We loved the place. Self check-in system was easy. Good breakfast was included. There was a nice hot pool outdoors. However, there was sand or dirt inside the room and right on the window, above the bed. More cleaning is needed. I recommend this place, it was amazing!”
