Älä pakota mitään muuta kuin seikkailunhaluinen henki ja kamera sieppaamaan äiti-luonnon leikkikenttä .... Monenlaisia lintu- ja vesilintulajikkeita mukaan lukien majesteettinen amerikkalainen kalju kotka. We had an amazing time on the river! We had planned on going out to explore but it was so relaxing and inviting in the home we didn't want to leave. We ending up getting groceries nearby and eating in.The views and river were excellent. I did quite a bit of fishing and if crabbing is your thing they are abundant off of the pier. There is also a BP by Dollar Geraral that has bait. We also took an 8 foot inflatable circular water hammock to float in the river on. Lisa the host was an absolute pleasure to work with and we will no doubt be back to enjoy her family home.

I had a fantastic stay at the cottage in Gloucester. It is very comfortable, nicely decorated, and stocked with everything I needed. The views from the sun room and the back deck are stunning and beautiful. Most importantly, Lisa was a wonderful host. When I had issues with the TV (turned out to be nothing more than dead batteries on the remote needing to be replaced), she came right out to help,which was honestly more than I expected. In addition, we had a brief but strong storm one of the nights I was there (which does happen, of course), and the power to the neighborhood went out for perhaps two hours. Everything I needed was on hand (candles, flashlight, etc.) and she stayed in touch via text with updates until the lights were back on, which made me feel safe and cared for. I used my time at the cottage to rest in between work activities, and to see a bit of the lovely part of the world where the cottage is located. The sun room was a particularly nice spot to relax. The neighborhood was quiet and the cottage felt very private.Highly recommended! I definitely hope to return before too long.

What a beautiful home. The views were amazing. The house was stocked with eveything you can think of. It was very clean. My husband and I will visit again. This is our favorite place @ the rivah. My husband and I loved our visit. The home was so clean (a big deal for me), well-stocked, and beautifully decorated. Beds are super comfortable and the whole home is so spacious. The community is quiet and peaceful and views of the river are just spectacular. We will definitely visit again.

The property was very nice inside, very comfortable, and also had nice outside areas from which to enjoy the beautiful view. All amenities that one would need to enjoy a relaxing vacation were available. This was our summer vacation, but we wanted to spend much of our time relaxing at a nice place with a great view to read, do crafts, etc. and this was a wonderful place for it. We would like to stay here again in the future.

The home is charming and equipped with almost everything a guest could need. The location is great. Views are spectacular. We caught fish, took long walks, and explored the area. Shops and restaurants in the middle peninsula and northern neck area that we visited were very nice. The hosts were very responsive. Will try to visit every year.

Our stay was just about perfect! A beautiful home on a beautiful property with every amenity we needed. The private dock was great for fishing and just relaxing. The owners were friendly and responsive. The area offers quaint little towns, nice shops and good eateries. Our four day get away was "just what the doctor ordered." We would not at all hesitate to rent the property again.

A beautiful, clean and well-appointed waterfront home with all the comforts. The views from the house, especially at sunset, and peaceful water sounds from the deck and dock were ideal. Lisa was a friendly and easy-to-reach host who clearly cares about creating a positive guest experience.

We had a wonderful week at Lisa and Portia's lovely cottage! I could have stayed another week. The home is tastefully decorated and the view excellent. It is conveniently located to visit a number of different areas. My husband fished while I went to area potteries and vintage stores. Restaurants and grocery stores were never more that 20 minutes away and very easy drives. We rested, read and relaxed. The home is outfitted with every thing you need. We did a lot of cooking and enjoyed many dishes that we don't usually cook at home. My only disapointment was that we brought too much food and didn't get to try but one local restaurant. Thanks so much for letting us stay in your lovely home.

This was one of the more relaxing vacations I have had. It was well worth the 6+ hour drive to get there. Once there it was zen time. Lots of things to do in the immediate area...lots of historical places to go. Even if you don't eat crabs, like me, it was fun to set out the trap and just go check every now and then and pull a few up. I will say they were all healthy looking crabs so the water must be very clean. Lisa was great. If there was a question we had she was on it. She stayed in contact to check in just to be sure all was good. She was very much on top of things...plus she has a great sense of humor. Overall I would rate this as one of the best vacations I have had and would definitely stay there again if the opportunity presents itself. 5+ Stars!
