”What a gem! If you are looking for a charming and affordable place to stay in the London area, look no further. Located in adorable Godalming and a quick 45-min train ride into the heart of London, the Rose and Crown was perfect for our family of 4. We stayed in the Juliet room, which has two separate sleeping areas: a very comfortable queen bedroom with en-suite, and a secluded little Hobbit room for kids (the beds are small, so it’s not ideal for taller teenagers). ”We stayed here in the Tudor 4 poster room. While some of the reviews mentioned noise in some of the suites, we only heard guests downstairs when we were in the bathroom and then only in the afternoon. It was quiet in the evening / night. It was a great place to stay after a 5,000 mile trip from the Western US and recover from jet lag before going on to meet friends and family elsewhere in the UK. (It’s about a hour from Heathrow).
