”Spacious yet cozy with a cabin feel inside. Great location with beautiful hiking trails (caution: very challenging even though labeled moderate). Great for older kids but staircases lack railings so would be unsafe for younger kids. Beautiful house with lovely garden and pool. Good communication with host.”

”A lovely place to stay, we had a long break there, it’s very quiet, but close enough to the river beaches, beaches, Tomar and other attractions for lovely days out. The hosts are outstanding, I’ve never met such amazing hosts. They bought us bags of the most fabulous and delicious tomatoes and the fluffiest cake ever. Thank you for a beautiful break we will always remember. ”

”Paulo, the owner, was very attentive and friendly and gave us wonderful service. We were late for check-in and Paulo greeted us after 11pm with a big smile. He gave us all the information we needed, including tips on Portuguese cuisine. The property consists of an old Portuguese house, from the 1800s. It is charming, clean, and has everything we needed for a good night's sleep.”

”Un peu loin de la ville. La route est très sinueuse mais la vue est très belle lorsque nous sommes arrivés. La piscine est très pratique avec parasols. Les déjeuners sont complets et copieux avec une super bonne chocolatine à tomber à terre. Service excellent et accueillant. Il n'y a pas d'options de restaurants près de l'hébergement sinon à 10-15 minutes. Par contre, la cuisine est complète et très pratique.”

The hosts were remarkably warm, helpful, and friendly, and the house was charming with nice outdoor options--garden, patio/balcony, bbq, and just down the road a beautiful little river with places to swim with no one around. "It was an unique and romantic place to stay. The staff was friendly and eager to help with anything. This is one of our favourite places so far. Bathroom was spacious and had a luxury-feel to it. Breakfast was a bit compact, but thats understandable due to the size of the hotel. Location was great, right next to local shops & restaurants."
