”The property was nicely secluded, with multiple trails leading up to the top of the escarpment with a lovely view of Golden Lake. The cabin itself was clean and cozy, and the AC was perfect for sleeping as we went in a 35° July heatwave. Great little fire pit with affordable firewood supplied by the hosts. Be mindful of leaving any dry food in the screened-in kitchenette if going out for more than an hour -- the local chipmunks are hungry and know what they're looking for. Only minor...

”Loved the beach and sandy lake bottom. Didn’t like being right on highway 60, lots of traffic noise. The kitchen was very dark and the light over the sink wasn’t working. Everyone had to walk through the main bedroom to use the only shower, the hosts left their bar of soap, toothbrush and paste and a razor. ”Loved this cottage. The lake is beautiful, water is nice enough for swimming and we had lots of fishing , kayaking and paddle board fun! Beautiful sunsets. ”The trailer was older but fully functional. Heat and fans for temperature control. There was lots of space to park and set up tents, the kitchen sink and stove worked well and the bbq was very helpful. The space was very nice with trails, canoeing, and the full camping experience. ”We had a truly lovely stay at this cozy cottage in Barry's Bay! The views were absolutely beautiful, and the quiet surroundings made for a wonderfully peaceful retreat.Unfortunately, our youngest wasn't feeling well with a bit of sun exhaustion for the first two days, so we spent some quality one-on-one time indoors. Thankfully, the cottage was well-equipped with plenty of puzzles and games, which kept us happily occupied during her recovery while the rest of the family enjoyed the water...

”We stayed as a family of four with two young children at the end of summer. The property is beautiful and the water very shallow quite a ways out so it was perfect for our 1.5 and 2.5 year olds. They had a blast playing in the water, riding around in the kayak and playing with some beach toys provided.
